Is that a one time payment of $25 or is it monthly for the upgrade to max?

Directv Customer of 25 years - nfl sunday ticket every year
Have always gotten it free or a discount greater than the ticket cost.
Just coming off a $60/12 mos credit from last year.
Called today - Loyalty dept agent could only give me $16.50 / 6 mos credit = $99 off NFLST
    I said no, cancel NFLST
Hopped on a chat about 2 hours later and said without NFLST, no reason to stay w/DTV
Chat agent said we will formulate an offer and e-mail you in 2-4 hours with our offer.
Got an e-mail about 2 hours later with $60/12 mos credit, no contract. (DTV_$60_Off_12 mos_Stackable_DS0465)

I will get my out of market team the first 2 weeks (guaranteed) on the local networks, was thinking of calling a couple weeks into the season and trying to negotiate a deal - does anyone have experience with a mid season pricing ?

I am pondering nfl league pass and go radio silent during my teams game and watch my team after the game concludes - any experience or advice on league pass ?

    great forum, thanks

When does the NFL contract end with Directv? I read somewhere recently that the nfl could opt out after this year. Has there been a new agreement? Thanks.

You should immediately cancel DirecTV and go with another provider. I've been with them for 21 years coming November, and never got Sunday Ticket free every single year, and didn't get a superb deal last year, so I didn't subscribe. I did get DirecTV RedZone for free though in the end, which I enjoyed. Most other years I have received STMax at an amazing discount, if not free (including this year), and the credits were much appreciated to offset the cost. I always treated the CSR's with a lot of respect.

The fact you got $720 in discounts with no contract extension to pay for ST (where STMax comes to $395.94+Tax which is the highest cost), and you aren't happy, completely puzzles me in the newer AT&T era of handling things. Discounts for subs are way down again based on feedback from others....you should take it and run, and be 'happy'.

Not only did he get a very good deal, but they told him they would send him an email with an offer in 2-4 hours, and they did. How dare they!

Yes, I think I would take my business else where also.

I am happy - not sure how my write up assumed I was not. I took the $60/mos credit for 12 months and ran.
This might be Packer / Viking thing between Codespy and myself - LOL

Wow, I just called to make sure I didn't have auto-bill turned on, (it wasn't) and asked about current promotions. They gave me nothing, not a penny off.
First time in about 20 years I didn't even get a token $25 off per month low ball.
I hate to ask but what is the best number to call again. I made the mistake of doing the 1-800-DIRECTV.

Welp, spent 25 minutes getting the run around while trying to cancel the auto renewal ST & also seeking out promotions to lower my bill that is nearly $300. First woman spoke poor english & she transferred me. The next CSR had computer & phone issues. She offered no discounts or promotions. Then she began reading a long ass disclaimer & I hung up. I tried the online chat but was put on hold for 15 minutes lol. Looks like I'll try again calling them tomorrow. They give zero fucks that I've been paying for the Premier package for 10 yrs & have 5 receivers. Seems like that should qualify a customer for the free ST.

Also, if a CSR answers the phone like they don't want to be there, then they probably don't want to be there & hate their job. That probably means they won't offer much and I hang up immediately. I need a go getter to answer & help me grift them of the NFL ST.

Pretty much my exact scenario. I could not get any deal on NFL ST so I canceled the auto renew. Called back a week later and they gave it to me without even asking for it as I just asked for any discounts on my programming package. Ended up only getting $20 off per month on my programming but they did also give me NFL ST.

I called yesterday ( 1-888-666-0027) and cancelled the NHLCI ( I can always add it later ). He did that and tried to get me to take mini because all programming is going HD and one of my receivers is sd. I think he mixed up MPEG2 SD and MPEG4.
I asked about NFLST offers and he looked and said I could have it for Free. But he couldn't enter it in the computer. So he said to call back after midnight.
I called today and got it for no cost but had to switch to paperless billing.
I have been a D*sub for 21 yrs with the Ultimate pkg.

I called (800) 824-9077 & it said out of order. The second time I called & nothing happened, dead air. But I tried 3 more times & finally got where it was ringing & got through to a CSR. I dropped the NFL ST autorenew & they offered a $70 discount for one year, but no ST offer. I've had the Premier package since 2008 or around that time. I'll try again tomorrow.

So hubby calls the 0027 number & the lady says that she can give $12.25 off for 6 months. She asks if that sounds good & he says not really. He claims that he has coworkers that have gotten it for free or received a call from Directv and he's been waiting, but no call. She said that was all she had but transferred him to VIP. He gets on with VIP & the guy starts asking about programming and what we watch, starts rattling off the $25 off we get for having wireless, which I don't like because that was a wireless offer, not a Directv offer. Plus, we pay $200 a month for wireless so it's not like we're getting $25 for free. Then he mentions free Hbo, which again is a wireless offer. Then he mentions my $10 off of the HD receiver I got for them constantly screwing up my bill & me having to call multiple times. Again, not deals that translate to that much of a deal. The guy offers $40.01 off for 12 months (not sure why the penny) & ST Max if I sign up for a year. I agreed since with all the other discounts I really was only asking for $12.25 off.

I don't need Max, but he felt like he was doing me a favor, so I took it. I did see the Max added on my account. The idiot from earlier added ST so I have to wait for that to credit back. I don't see the $40.01 credit but called back to confirm that it was there. I will wait until Friday before calling back. I really liked the old system better where credits & charges were immediately seen. But I called for free ST and am happy with that. If the discount comes on I will not have had to pay for a bill for 3 months so I won't complain other than the principle of the matter. I'm willing to stay another year & do this dance again or have hubby do it. Yet again another year where I get offered nothing or next to nothing and hubby calls & gets a pretty good deal.:(

I've noticed lately when I've called this 9077 number, it has been having some issues and I'm not sure why. Another number you can try calling is 888-666-0027. I believe the 9077 and this 0027 are the same thing essentially as far as getting you to a loyalty agent.
