Has DIRECTV come out with a price for the upcoming 2019 season yet? I can remember in previous years it would be available for purchase almost right after the last seasons super bowl ended. I use to always be able to order it early & pay for it in advance. This year it is not available yet on the website & it is going into mid-April.

This year ATT has their hands on it. Things seem to change when that happens.

Things might really change in 2020. Cord cutting is gonna have an effect on this, I think.

Here is an idea. Why don’t they allow us to purchase just the one team that we want for a much cheaper price? Instead of making the people who want Sunday Ticket pay $300 make it $100 for your team that you want to see? I wish they would allow that because I don’t ever watch any of the other teams.

I had an equipment change about a month ago, and asked If there were any ST Max discounts for 2019 for a 20-year customer. She said NO! I slowly backed up and thanked her for the insight, and hung up the phone before she was able to attack me. :)

I'm a Jets and Giants fan. I look forward to watching other teams...or I'll lose what's left of my mind. I feel the same way you do about baseball games tho. I understand.

Don't you wonder why anyone thought they'd raise the price? I think they found it hard to give away last season. If it hadn't been without cost (nothing about D* is "free") I wouldn't have tried it. I did try it and I want it again.

The reason anyone thought they'd raise the price is that they've been doing it for years.

I just noticed that directv keep charging me for sunday ticket. It says 6 split payments. They have already charged me a 7th time now.

No, they may lose NFLST exclusivity. Which they are probably not terribly worried about, since it will mean they won't have to pay as much for NFLST going forward.

I hope they share NFL ST with the telcos but NOT the cable cos ...

But I can't see them losing the exclusive ... att would loose a lot more customers than the current cord cutting impact

I don't think the NFL is concerned about the number of AT&T customers. They are concerned about the total number of football subscribers.

AT&T is the concerned party. Having NFL Sunday ticket was a requirement of their purchase of DIRECTV.

Can you explain this a bit more. I thought the purchase was already done. How would they “unpurchase” it now? And at this point it wouldn’t be D that is loosing the NFLST exclusivity it would be AT&T no? I’m sure I just don’t understand what was agreed to and how it all works. One thing is certain, if AT&T now looses NFLST exclusivity the loss of subscribers is really going to start to accelerate.

When att bought D* it was dependent on the exclusive deal to continue NFL ST via D*

"Just how important is big-ticket content like the NFL? The deal terms actually stipulate that AT&T can walk away from the merger if DirecTV doesn't win the contract with the NFL to renew that exclusive."

Here's why AT&T is trying to buy DirecTV

So I doubt att would want to loose NFL st

I know thinks change over the years and people in the "big chair " can make stupid decisions (unrelated but Marnie walden wasting big reds $ on aol/yahoo) ...

I cannot see att dropping or losing NFL st exclusive . As mentioned by others they would loose too many consumers and business customers

Think about how many restaurants in your area have D* just for NFL ST ...
