How much is the cost during the off season before the season actually starts? The reason I ask this is because I would like to get it next season however I can not see spending almost $300.00 for it.

You are right, I just find that a bit high of a cost.

Actually it was 6 payments of $41.50 or $249 and to add Superfan w/ HD, another $99.

It's amazing how the length of time they're giving people to pay keeps getting longer & longer. If people keep balking at the price that gets steeper & steeper :kickbutt: each year, they'll probably come out with a 12 month payment plan. I opted out this year because the N.F.L. isn't showing me almost $400 worth of love. Obviously, there's NOTHING wrong with their economy :nono2:.

Usually around June or so you can get it "early bird" for $20 off. I'm sure the price will go up again though, always does. I personally sign up for it in January each year and do the 11 month plan. That way I'm just paying a little more then $20 per month all year with one month off and I can budget that a lot easier.

with all the money the NFL is bringing in this year with their bogus fines, they should give DirecTV a discount on the rights to Sunday Ticket.

I did hear that NFL playoff tickets will be about 10% lower this year than last.

For those who don't know, the NFL sets playoff ticket prices, and they're quite a bit higher than the regular season prices set by the teams.

Sunday Ticket was one of the main reasons I switched from cable to D*. I got 4 months of the premier package with all premium channels and sports pack FREE when you buy the ticket, and I added superfan for $100. There was no way I would get every NFL game this year and not have them all in HD. Besides superfan giving you HD the channels are awesome like Red Zone...you never have to touch the remote to change to different games, they keep you up to date and you never miss anything thats happening.

I guess most of you find ST and SF worth the cost.

Well, we don't need to move this thread into another one of those, there are a few already from earlier this year. But I wouldn't pay for it if I didn't find it worth the cost. Without Sunday Ticket I could only see my Bears 2-3 times a year. With ST I get to see them every week. Plus every Sunday is like Christmas for me.

For the price of 2 pizza's and a Big Mac meal a month I can pay for it. I think I can sacrifice that much. ;)
