It was definitely NFL Sunday Ticket Ultimate a week or so ago, now it's NFL Sunday Ticket MAX. This is the first I've seen of this new name, so I apologize if this is old news.

From what I can tell, the name is all that's changed, but it seems to have happened recently.

Other than the name, can anyone see any change between the two? It's like one of those "spot the differences" games, only not quite as fun.

And also: Why did they change the name??

The "To Go" package is now included in the package. So the $59.99 a month gets you everything now, no extra cost for To Go, although it was pretty easy to get that added to your Sunday Ticket for free.

its lower because there will be less games.

NFL network now starts Week 2 so right there is like 7 or 8 games that would have been apart of NFL ST

NFLN previously had 8 games now they have 13 so thats only 5 games that moved off ST.
Not sure where youre getting 7 or 8 games right there from.

So using this chart 153 of 256 games (59.8%) are now on ST while last year it was 158 of 256 (61.7%).
Thats only a 2% drop & ST is more than only 2% $$ less than last year.

Keep in mind Sunday Ticket is still exclusive to DirecTV until they(the NFL) open it up to other providers, we'll pay top price.

I wasn't going to renew for 2012 but my favorite player has signed with a new team. I'll need it to see all his games. I don't want to pay $300 for it. When is the right time to begin negotiating with DirecTv for a better price?

I really don't understand the price complaints already. It's LESS than it was last season. Yeah there may be 1 less game on a week most weeks now but adding games nationally like the kickoff week game, Thursday night football, etc never caused a price decrease before.

A year or two ago there was rumors the execs at Directv felt the price had gotten too high and might roll it back some. Perhaps they've follower through on that. While we are at it, is it just me or is MLB cheaper this year also? I can't remember what last years cost was.

More for less also with MLB when you take away the additional Fox Saturday games this year.
