NHLNET is airing all games that TSN/2 and LEAFTV are showing in Canada. MSG, FSN Det, NESN games plus some other Canada showing up on that September schedule
Not all. Right now the pre-season schedule looks like this:
9/14 10PM Islanders @ Canucks
9/16 7PM Bruins @ Maple Leafs
9/17 7PM Maple Leafs @ Flyers (in London, ON)
9/21 7:30PM Penguins @ Canadiens
9/22 7PM Penguins @ Maple Leafs
9/23 7PM Maple Leafs @ Sabres
9/24 8:30PM Oilers @ Lightning (in Winnipeg, MB)
9/25 7PM Bruins @ Senators
9/26 9PM Canucks @ Flames
9/27 5PM Penguins @ Red Wings
Too bad none of those European exhibition games are apparently being televised.
What a surprise: No Hurricanes games.
Got my online Directv monthly billing notice today. Shows NHL CENTER ICE: 2009-10 Early Renewal in 4 Payments of $40.95
Looks like I will call to cancel this tommorrow because of no MSG HD.
For those that are cancelling please, please, please mention that MSG HD is the main/only reason that you are cancelling the DTV (or NHL CI) whatever you are doing.
It might not hurt to mention no CSN Philly or CDN HD feeds as well.
But, whatever the reason let me know, don't go away quietly. (Don't be an ass either).
Oilfan - the CSR couldn't care less about why I was cancelling...
Besides, the MSGHD and CSN-Philly issues are not related to DirecTV.
"the CSR couldn't care less about why I was cancelling.."
The same when I cancelled, the CSR didn't even ask me why i was cancelling. It seems they could care less if it's not the commercial filled NFL.
Why are you all cancelling ? Is there any reason you can't watch your team on another HD RSN channel on CI ? The team is not being blacked out, they are just not carrying the NY HD channels out of the area.
Called and cancelled and the gave the reasons as the loss of MSG HD games and VS. It took less than 4 minutes .
The VS issue is one thing but with the MSG issue the one poster had a good point.. why couldnt you just watch the other teams HD feed? I also got renewed at 40
I know we all prefer certain announcers, but as long as I can see the game, in HD, I will watch either team's broadcast.
Can't do that when the MSG teams play each other. The main reason for my switch from cable to D* was all the HD games on all the sports packages. SD just plain sucks.
MSG has excellent PQ compared to some others. But when you can't get the Canadian HD feeds combined with the loss of the MSG Hd feeds for 4 teams , that is a large number of HD telecasts unavailable.
Sometimes the other team doesn't have a HD feed to view, so it's very frustrating to know that the MSG HD feed is there but you can't watch it.
I am hoping we will see more Canadian feeds in HD this year. I have to agree some of the SD feeds are exceptionally poor PQ.
I doubt it because it required some type of equipment that D* or NHLCI wasn't interested in buying.
As far as the Canadian HD is concerned I have E* for CI and other than the NHL Network there is NO Canadian HD at all. This has nothing to do with D*
