I wish they would put the Sabres/Cap's game on CI. That way I could watch the Sabres MSG HD feed. I'm sure it will be the Cap's CSN feed that we will get. Although they will probably have Coach's Corner and Hotstove in between periods, so that part I will enjoy.

I have a Panasonic Plasma and had a Samsung Plasma a couple years ago. The Samsung had a red haze over a good section of the ice all the time. It really bothered me, so I called Samsung and they tried everything to fix it, even replacing the panel. I showed them that the same game on my Panasonic looked fine. Finally, since I wasn't satisfied and it was still under warranty, they replaced it with a new LCD. It has a great picture and has worked fine ever since.

So the NHL network shows the HNIC pregame show tonight but not one of the two 7 PM games. That's bad enough, but DirecTV pulls the plug right after the Leafs beat the Sens so we miss the linking programming before the late game.

Poor show DirecTV and PLLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEEE let's invoke the statute of limitations on the if you want to watch HNIC move to Canada or get a Canadian Dish...

Wow!! Another stunning SD Vancouver game, on CBC. They must be using an old 1960's early color camera. There must not be a focus on it. I know CBC has to doing that game in HD.

To me, the most disappointing thing about CI, is how few Canadian games are in HD.

I hope that will improve for next year and maybe we can get a CI Mix channel, like the MLB one. I think I have said that a few times before, like the last 3 years, in a row, and all we still end up with is the score page that doesn't work half the time.

Here's what was the full NHL Network TV schedule for the 2010-2011 season:

    http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/...eases-its-2010-11-regular-season-tv-schedule/

As a Habs fan, I was pretty pleased with NHLN's Montreal coverage this season; both Habs and Leafs got pretty even-handed HNiC treatment, and 4 Habs-Leafs matchups were on Saturdays (including next week's regular-season-ender). I agree that HNiC is pretty balanced, but I do say that as a Montreal fan.

I agree, we so need one, especially during the playoffs. All of the other sports have one (including golf) why not hockey?

The answer is simple. There aren't nearly enough of customers for the NHL for DirecTV to care very much. Sad, pathetic even? Yes, but it is the sad reality....

If DirecTV worked toward improving CI, by having a good mix channel and more Canadian games in HD, they may get more customers. Then maybe people would get the DirecTV version of CI, instead of the bootlegged Canadian satellite version it, to see the Canadian teams in HD.

I have to give the nhl network two thumbs up. I just finished watching the game that they showed and it was the game of the night. much better for casual hockey fans than suffering through a meaningless ottawa toronto matchup.

The nhl network got it wrong tonight though. buffalo and carolina is much more compelling than chicago/tampa bay is at this point.

nope. I will never cancel my canadian service. will cancel my directv service first

a few reasons of course are 24 hour versions of tsn and sportsnet, east and west coasts locals from boston and seattle and hockey is number 1 up there not 6 or whatever it is in the states.

if yes gets dropped from directtv, their games will still show up in canada on their version. also, all the fox saturday games are shown.

And that's coming from a Hawks fan?
I know Buff-Car will be a good game but, Hawks need the points to further distance themselves from 9th place and overtake Anaheim and try to finish a little higher up and avoid a first round match up with Van, who you know will be loaded for bear if we meet them in the first round. Not afraid of that match up but I'd rather play Det or Pho or even SJ, but epecially Det.

hawks need the points but buffalo and carolina i expect to be played like a elimination playoff game. buffalo have to be pissed off over how they gave a point away last night.

hawks did get a gift yesterday with anaheim and dallas losing. I am not concerned with the Flames unless they run the table. One loss and they are done.

I personally don't like the hawks chances no matter who they play if they keep showing up for one game and taking the next one off.

I will watch the buffalo/carolina game live and dvr the hawks game from channel 9 in chicago on the canuck dish and watch that afterwards. should be a fun night of hockey.

I doubt we will see that for a long time. The NHL Network US has a low number of of subs and very low ratings so there isn't a real good financial reason to add extra costs to the network.

    I would be happy if they just returned to HNIC HD and left the other games on NHLCI. Sat night there was no HD for TOR vs OTT because they took the WASH vs BUF game ( which we could have seen in HD anyways with NHLCI.}

the toronto ottawa game was meaningless. toronto is out of the picture unless the rangers or the sabres go into the tank

the washington buffalo game had playoff implications for buffalo and seeding implications for both teams.

They picked the right game. They aer to show the best matchup. period.

I agree on the Hawks chances, too inconsistent for a deep run, but I think they can win one round before they're faced with a "tougher" opponent.
I'd like them to exorcise the Red Wings demon so to speak with that one round victory.
But just the thought of them playing Van and upsetting them would be so cool,(despite my reservations), even if they bow out in the second round.

In any case, not getting my hopes up for much though.
