I guess that's why it's the feature game on the NHLN ?

I'm saying that its a bigger game now then when blackhawkzone told us on 4/7 that NHLN switched from the HNIC game to the Lightning/Canes game. They knew it could be an important game when they made the switch. But had no idea that the Rangers were going to win today and force the Canes to have to win tonight to make the playoffs.

Flyers win the division and the 2nd seed with a losing streak breaker vs the Islanders. Looks like the goal scoring is coming back for the playoffs.

Canucks will choke before they make it to the finals.

Also, what the hell is with the scoreguide lately? None of the Center Ice or Extra Innings channels are showing up anywhere.

I hope they can hold it together this year, they are long over due.

It is really pretty lame. When you look at what they can do with the baseball and this week with the Masters, CI subscribers are getting the short end of the stick.
I know every year I say this, but I am hoping maybe next year we will see a nice Mix Channel and more Canadian HD games. Wishful thinking isn't it?

Congrats to Tim Thomas, on your record breaking save percentage. Quite an accomplishment.

NHL Network sucks at a very simple mission: deliver NHL content to NHL fans.

For some reason, they insist on showing NHL on the Fly Saturday nights rather than game 2 of Hockey Night in Canada. Okay, we've beaten that to death, that's just how it is.

As a compromise, NHL Network shows a rebroadcast of game 2 on Sunday afternoon, the next day.

But during that rebroadcast, NHL Network doesn't have the brains to remove the score from that game from the crawl! They show the final score of the game they're airing! I'm watching the Flames-Canucks game, and a couple minutes in I learn that Vancouver wins 3-2! WTF!!!

If they're going to show a game 12 hours after it ends, have the good sense to not to tell the handful of viewers of the rebroadcast how the game turns out. Is that really difficult to understand? It's fine for them to do stories about it before the game's rebroadcast, I get that. But not during the rebroadcast itself!

NHL Network seems incompetent to me.

As much as I dislike what has happened to NHL Network's Saturday night programming, I have to give them credit for what they did this afternoon. For the Stars/Wild game, they picked up the Stars OTA feed and still allowed the Wild feed to be shown on CI. I wish they made more fan-friendly decisions like that.

One thing I really like about MLB Extra Innings that that a game on MLB Network or ESPN outside of the exclusive slots means I can still watch the EI feed from whatever team I want. I really wish NHL Network would leave the CI feeds open during non exclusive windows when NHL Network or Versus has a game on.

Anyone know if Versus will have the alternate (HD) channel again for playoffs? I hate when they do crap like this:

Thurs Apr 14 playoff schedule on Versus
    7pm ET MON/BOS
    7:30pm ET BUF/PHI (JIP)
    10:00pm ET LA/SJ

As an out-of-market Sharks fan, if there is no Versus ALT (HD) (or CI having open the CSN-CA feed), I'm almost assuredly screwed out of the beginning of LA/SJ given that at the end of the MON/BOS, they will be switching over to the end of BUF/PHI. Last season there were several games in the first round that I missed the beginning, including one where I missed 8 minutes of game play (and RSN feeds were not open via CI so I was totally shut out angrily waiting for the previous JIP Versus game to end). I was beyond furious.

It's the same stupid thing on Wednesday. The schedule shows Detroit at 7, and Rangers-Caps at 7:30 JIP. What???? They're going to join the Rangers-Caps in time to show the last 10 minutes of the third period???

    Not good.

So if the game is JIP on Versus, does that mean its not available on CI?

Blackhawks playoffs CSN CHI web site has on listing yet but in a newspaper they seem to be cutting it real close with on 4/13 bulls at 7 on CSN then at Blackhawks 9.

on 4/15 white sox at 7:10 CSN and Blackhawks at 9 on CSN.

Now will D* be able to flip CSN + HD on at the last minute? or will CSN just plan for the games to be on CSN + and the paper was off. Next week is big NBA / NHL playoffs mess Cubs / sox night games each day so CSN + 2 likely will be used.
