Well the good thing is that it's free until the end of october which should give you enough time to decide whether it is worth it or not.

I'm not sticking up for poor attendance in the South, but there is also tons more things to do in the South, then say Canada during hockey season. We have College Football, then it transitions into College Basketball, we also have NBA teams & MLB playoffs in some cities or nearby.

What is there to do in Canada? Hockey and that's about it. I know Toronto has a MLB team and a NBA team but they rarely make the playoffs. The rest of Canada doesn't have another major sport or tons of colleges that play football. And besides sports, there are more entertainment options here and since hockey is fairly new in the South, usually hockey is on the low end of the totem pole.

But I do think it's growing down here and it will take time. It's not like Montreal and we've had teams down here for over a hundred years. And the comment about announcing stuff is silly, how else do people learn the game? It's like Northern folks want to keep the sport to themselves and don't want anybody to have it. Seems like a lot of crying going on when they talk about Southern teams..(oh they don't deserve a team, blah blah f'in blah)

Don't get me wrong, I know Canada and people from the North are passionate about their game and I'm not taking that away from you guys. It's my favorite sport too. I just get tired of the same 'ol crap every year about South teams not deserving this and not selling that. If they stop making money they will end moving just like any business would, but until then can we just enjoy our teams.

Teams from Canada had same problems back in the day that Northerners state about Southern teams now. There's reasons why Winnipeg, Quebec & Hartford moved, because they ended up having bad attendance and management. And these were teams in supposedly great hockey markets???

    Longwood,...

So that's why at the Flyers games they always scream - "It's another PECO Power-Play!!!!!"

Yes, there are plenty of Panther fans around, but we don't go around cutting other teams down. We spend our time working toward a positive view for the entire league.

Anyone ever hear of D* giving a new sub the same sign up deal as they would get with NFLST only substituting NHLCI in its place?

Also, anyone in the Buffalo Area whom gets the Buffalo Version of MSG; do you get the Sabre games in HD and also do you get the pre and post game shows?

I was with Dish and they get neither and was forced to switch over to TW inorder to get the HD games and pre and post games shows.

Some have gotten deals over the past few years, but I have never seen any advertised specials like the NFL package, for new subscribers.

I see many of the pregame shows, but it is because I have the RSN sports package and go the 600 channel of the team to see it.

I really think that all of the sports subscriptions, CI, LP, EI, should include the pre and post game shows. I also think that any home team broadcast picked up by VS or NHL network or TSN feed picked up by those stations should not blackout the other team's feed on CI. it is one thing when there is a VS exclusive and say Doc and Edzo are doing a Detroit-St. Louis game, but another if VS picks up a feed with Doc and Chico doing the Devils-Boston game.

    10 teams => 2 divisions = North & South
Obviously the fans from northern teams go in the north division and same for southern teams fans

The "stanley cup" winner determine who wins between the south and the north :D

PM me if you are in with the team you ll represent.

I can't agree with you more. During the playoffs last year, I would watch the games on VS and then switch over to the HNIC intermission programs, as well as their pre and post game show, because the coverage was superior.

Hey guys I haven't logged in here in such a long time. But I am looking forward to hockey season as I am sure you guys are.

The NHL released the pre-season schedule for this season today and I haven't seen it posted, so here is the link.

Thanks for posting Bruins! Wow, what a great preseason lineup on NHLN this year! Makes me feel like I wasted $ on the Sports Pack this year, but I do see a few games either not on NHLN or on a tape delay. All in all, I'm very impressed with their offerings this year and can't wait for hockey season to begin!

How much is sportspack? $7? I am on a couple of 2for1 for the movie channels and when I click on my account I see add sportspack for $7.

    Is this regular price?

Maleman, regular price is $12.99, if I'm not mistaken? You are probably getting the $7 deal because you have a couple of other premiums on your account. Each premium you add, the cheaper the next one is.

Okie dokie lol now my bill gets bigger! I want to add it for a month. $7 for a few hockey games seems ok for me. And see what else I might find.
Would I find any Steeler shows etc? Kinda off topic-sorry.
