Looking at their site here, http://devils.nhl.com/club/schedule.htm & NHL's site at http://www.nhl.com/ice/schedulebyday.htm?team=NJD&date=10/09/2010 , it appears it's not in HD on MSG+2.

MSG can only do two HD feeds at once - excluding the Buffalo feed. Anytime the there are more than two of the four MSG Tri-State teams (Devils, Rangers, Islanders, and Knicks) in action someone is going to get bumped to SD.

CSN Chicago is the same only 2 HD games but the CSN + 2 feed was only used 2 time in 2 + years it's been in the guide. No idea if will be go HD but it's use is very very little.

In St. Louis I only received the blues feed, didn't see the Flyers feed listed on CI. Did the CSN feed have any commercials? No post-production? That is weird. Was it on tv in pHilly like this?

Anytime there's more than two telecasts at once they put a game on an overflow channel in SD. Interestingly enough last night, the CSN HD feed of the Caps telecast was not blacked out in NJ. First time I can recall that happening.

True, but I'm not sure how the average SD TV owner feels about haven a shrunken picture caused by using letterbox. Personally, I hate when I have a 4:3 up-converted HD picture on a 16:9 flats screen. Feel like I'm not fully using my real estate and that how SD viewers might feel as well. Couldn't find any statistics, but did find one post giving their opinion of the Fox letterbox [link].

not sure but perhaps it was the way it was presented on gamecenter? perhaps comcast has a heart and decided to beat the pirates and just throw their games on atdhe themselves for direct tv customers. yeah, must be it.

It's 2010 and some teams still do not televise every game. Some teams had 3 -4 games not televised ,here are the biggest offenders -

You got a version of that list that also shows how many of those broadcasts are going to be in HD?

Just more ways why FSN sucks. Teams that are on CSN's have all there games on TV.

What is it with the teams the there is no space on OTA for the games FSN does not want?

I hate to throw the southern teams under the bus, but if you notice all of these teams are in the southern part of the USA. The demand in those markets just isn't as high and therefore they don't broadcast every game.

the Flyers feed was fine, i was watching it at home last night in HD. I have NHL GCL and sometimes ill check to see how it looks on atdhe. i noticed thursday the flames oilers was choppy at times.

i think it was the way the online was showing it.

I think in defense of the Coyotes, they share one channel with the Suns, and they don't have the proper infrastructure in place to handle running a FS+ feed. Other than when football is involved of course.

Then again, there is no OTA network that wants to pickup the other 15 or so games, so that does show a little weakness of their argument.

I was just going to say that. Look where and who these teams are. aren't these teams mostly struggling for attendance numbers/support?

I notice that with alot of feeds. I haven't really payed attention if there is a pattern (building, network, etc.) I am not sure if it is the lighting in the building are the way the cameras are set up?

This is just common sense. Of course there is going to be more of an incentive for teams in "hockey markets" to air the games. But what is the solution? The NHL has a good product. I just don't think that it is marketed very well. That being said, I know that it is not an easy thing to do either.

I know FSAZ had an FS+ station for an ASU football game earlier this season but it was SD. With a franchise in danger of leaving Phoenix it doesn't surprise me.
The Suns and Arizona St are more popular than the Coyotes( at least thats my take).
