Does anyone know if Game Center is having a free preview?
Leafs TV costs subs in the Leafs region of Ontario, $4.99 per month. They usually have about 12 or 13 games during a regular season and do pre and post game shows for all Leafs games. They also show all Leafs games, on a time delay basis, from all providers. They also have a number of the Leafs AHL affiliate, the Marlboro's(Marlies). They also run a number of classic games and also cover Leafs practices. There is other programming, like interviews etc.
Not sure how much longer that this station will be in business. The Leafs were bought and shared with Canada's biggest Cell Phone Companies, Rogers and Bell, both owning sports specialty channels, Sportsnet and TSN.
First two weeks of the shortened season.
Gamecenter says its free to Verizon "tablet" users... I assume this doesn't include my Verizon LTE ipad?
It won't download into Google TV either.
769 to 785 are now in the Guide.
Just not populated with games yet....
But, oddly, no 770....
Yes, the free preview is almost 2 weeks, 1/19 thru 1/31.
The games are starting to show up in the guide now but NO CBC HNIC games for Saturday afternoon and night. This is not looking good.
Oh please don't tell me we are taking a step backward.
Maybe it's time for us NHL Center Ice subscribers to go on strike.
770 / 770-1 is now back in the Guide, but Peter305 is correct.
None of the 3 Saturday CBC games are in the current on screen guide.
The Anaheim - Canucks game scheduled at 10:00 east on CBC does appear on 784, but that is probably the FSW feed.
One oddity... The first game on 769 shows a Jets v Bruins game on Monday...Nothing on Saturday or Sunday.
So, perhaps the CBC games still need to be populated.....I hope... I hope... I hope...
For me it looks like NHL GameCenter next year if Directv is going to play the no HNIC or Canadian feeds this year.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing about CBC going on 769. They had better not miss those big games!
I wonder if it's worth sending an email or calling the sports dept to ask. Probably not
Interestingly enough I found this dtv schedule link on a search
If you put in your zip code it shows the games for Saturday and it is indeed showing the cbc games on 769. That is a good start, but hopefully they get the real guide updated soon
Sorry Steve but that link is for the 2011-12 NHL CENTER ICE Schedule.
Check the date that shows up after you enter your zip code.
Looks like the DirecTV schedule hasn't been updated with the newly-released schedule, yet. It's returning the 2013 schedule when you put in your ZIP code, but it's the original schedule as if there had been a full season.
Actually, when I enter my zipcode it does give me the CBC games on 769 and that's all it shows. On the TV guide it shows other games but not the CBC games.
I realize that this will have been a bit of a scramble to get everything in place, but is it too much to ask that they would be showing all the games and that these would be properly displaying just a little more than 24 hours before the games start?
Apparently, at least in North Carolina, Time Warner Cable customers can buy Center Ice for only $50. Why is it more expensive on DirecTV?
Hard to say. Boxing PPVs are $10 more for HD when on many cable providers it's HD for the regular price. They charge $10 more because they can apparently.
Yes I guess I should have highlighted the "put in your zipcode" part
It still looks to be incomplete as of this morning. It's strange that the CBC games are listed there and no other games are listed, yet on the TV guide, it's the exact opposite with all the other games populated.
You'd think the systems would be somehow connected...
