The news is getting better !

769 and 769 - 1 now have programming listed for:

    Saturday @ 3:00
    Saturday @ 7:00
    Saturday @ 10:00
    Sunday @ 12:30
    Monday @ 1:00

They all say "Title Not Available", but we know what it's going to be.

Looking good for an HNIC Tripleheader Saturday ! ! !

One reason might be that you get a lot more games in HD with DirecTV.

Hope you are right! I'll be skeptical until I see it properly listed. Title not available doesn't exactly fill me with confidence!

In the past, CBC games generally took longer to appear in the guide on the CI channels than the other games. I think this is because more than one game is on the same channel, so the typical 6-hour time blocks DirecTV likes to use won't work. It seems to me that the listings for the other games are auto-generated while the CBC games seem to be added manually (I don't know if this is actually the case, but I have gotten that impression).

Anyway, it did not surprise me at all that the CBC games were missing when the guide data first showed up, because I've seen it before numerous times. It's only more noticeable now because the listings are being built 1-2 days before the games are played instead of several days in advance.

    All 3 up now...

    Senators v Jets @ 3:00
    Leafs v Canadiens @ 7:00
    Ducks v Canucks @ 10:00

And "Postgame" is listed for 12:30. Good news for "After Hours" fans.

It is my understanding that NBC is streaming the games on their website.

You may be able to see it on NBC- Extra. See Below:

The NHL season will finally begin Saturday, and the defending Stanley Cup champion Kings will kick things off by raising their banner before their matchup against the Blackhawks. You can watch the ceremony LIVE online with NHL Extra at 3 p.m. ET and then catch either that matchup or the Penguins-Flyers matchup. NHL Extra includes DVR-style controls, exclusive camera angles, a live chat with PHT and more.

Can I ask a favor here, please?

I'm as excited as everyone to have hockey back, but....

Can we please, PLEASE keep all game discussion and results away from here and in the below thread in the "Sports Programming and Events" forum?

    http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=206707&page=18

I DVR lots of games for viewing the following morning, and I know many west coast fans DVR early games while still at work.

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers,
    cmasia

Why would someone even think about posting scores in a thread dedicated to DirecTV NHL Pricing (or any other topic not related)? Crazy.

    trh,

Truer words have never been spoken.

Sadly, last season, we had some "crazy" posters in the corresponding thread here.

Hence, my desperate plea for help! :)

    Cheers,
    cmasia

cmasia -- you missed my point. As this is a pricing thread, that should be the only topic.

But I understand your concern. I had a game last season ruined for me when the thread topic was something like "Boston scores three times in the last 3 mins to win!!!" Ruined the whole game for me and I was planning on putting that game on my nomad for my flight the next day to the west coast.
