    Here we go again...

The Wings/Oilers game is being broadcast in HD on FSN Detroit, but DirecTV is only showing the SD feed! With the way things are run at DirecTV, I'm absolutely sure there is no one with at least half a brain controlling Center Ice.

I believe the game is on INDEMAND NHLCI HD and Canadian NHLCI HD. Anyone know if it is on Dishnetwork?

    Cmon DTV! Please.

The game was on this afternoon, watched it on 764, it was from FSNY, the Islanders network. The game on 629, is the Capitals RSN and that was not used for this game by D*.

D* needs to evaluate their performance, so far this year for Center Ice. They need to say something why we are not getting HD broadcasts, when they are available. I am sure that if they said they are working on setting things up, and told us so, it would satisfy many. But, the silence and the lack of broadcasts that other satellite and cable subscribers are getting from CI is getting old.

FSN Detroit is not a National HD RSN yet. At this time there are only 5 HD RSN's. But, they could still put it on one of the 76X channels. They could also put it on 95 but they have the baseball game on that channel. I know we have Wed & Thurs Florida Panther games in HD on 96, wonder of either of them will make the CI package.

Tonight's Edm-Det game was in HD on Dishnetwork as well.

It is irrelevant that FSN Detroit HD isn't national/conus HD on DTV. It isn't on Expressvu or InDemand "conus/nationally" either yet they make the arrangements to air it in NHLCI HD nationally.

Why have there been no HD sports on ch 94 for the last 2 weeks?

I don't think anyone is asking too much of Directv when it comes to NHLCI and NHLCI HD in particular.

I live in Detroit & still just got the SD feed of last night's game. So whether FSND was available CONUS or not should be irrellevant. They were often putting multiple HD baseball games in the 90's, but couldn't add in a Hockey game? Although at least the PQ was much better than their standard SD CI offerings.

I usually don't get to fired up over this kind of stuff, but D* is in the wrong so far with NHLCI. There is no reason they can't get the HD games on the CI package, and none of us should be blacked out unless your RSN is also showing the game.

Tomorrow is the end of the free preview. After that I am going to be ticked. :)

Well another nice bland we value your business email arrived in my email last night with another promise that DirecTV will be calling me. I fear that all of our problems with NHLCI are just a drop in the proverbial bucket to these people. To be honest it's the canned email and CSR responses that really bug me. These poor people have no idea how to respond to the problems, I just wish there was SOMEONE at DirecTV who was paying attention.....

Once again I ask that the mods add a sticky NHLCI thread. We know DTV reads this board. Why can't we post in one thread about all the issues we are seeing so maybe, just maybe DTV will do something about it. If DTV doesn't get this fixed I am dropping them next year and moving to Dish. I can do without Sunday ticket if I can get NHLCI run correctly.

I think this is the worst part. The "Dear sir/madam, We are very sorry to hear about the problem you are having with NHL/NBA/HBO. Your business is important to us, and someone will call you within 24/48/72 hours." Blah, blah, blah...

You carefully detail the specific problem, and you get a Mad Libs response, as if it was generated by a computer. Arrrrgh!

I just got D* just for the NHLCI package. I'm disappointed to find out that the CI package on Dish is better. Now I'm stuck for 3 years. Hopefully they'll pick it up.

This is the response I received from email

"We expect to have some HD games added to the NHL Center Ice schedule beginning in mid October but the schedule is still being determined. We’ll be updating the NHL Center Ice schedule as soon as we have more information so check back with us at directv.com/nhl"

I'm not so sure what's that hard to grasp at this point - there are only a handful of RSN's that are carried nationally by DirecTV at present (and none of them are Fox Sports regional nets IIRC).

Once D* adds national feeds for the RSN's that presently carry the vast majority of HD NHL games, those games will appear as the -1 HD variants that are already in place in the guide.

Granted, this is all an assumption on my part, but it certainly seems logical to me.
