NHL CI does include Flyers games, whether or not they use the CSN Philly I don't know. People with DirecTV do not get to see many Flyers games because CSN Philly does not allow their signal on sattelite as the local RSN in the Philly area. Those of us in the Philly area simply don't have an RSN.

Capacity challenges limit the number of HD telecasts. There is limited bandwidth capacity of receiving and sending HD signals at FSN’s master control facility in Houston. FSN has to manage its HD capacity for 18 owned & operated networks across the country, which strains capability. (During NBA & NHL seasons, that means juggling up to 15 HD telecasts on some nights.)

Good news: A new facility will open in The Woodlands (area outside of Houston) 4th Q ’07 that will greatly increase FSN’s HD capacity. The network’s ultimate goal is to produce all games in HD. Source for building info: http://texas.construction.com/featur...8_feature1.asp

    Source: http://msn.foxsports.com/id/6275986

FSN regional networks that are all "sharing" HD production bandwidth are FSN Arizona, FSN Detroit, FSN Florida, FSN Indiana, FSN Midwest, FSN North, FSN Northwest, FSN Ohio, FSN Pittsburgh, FSN Rocky Mountain, FSN South, FSN Southwest, FSN Houston, FSN Utah, FSN West, Prime Ticket, SportSouth and Sun Sports.

Contrast this with FSN Bay Area, which is actually owned by a different company and has a LOT more games in HD.

NOT on Directv...HD home games only on Time Warner Cable. (Buffalo system only)

This may change if agreements with can be made with Directv, Dish and other Time Warner Cable systems outside of Buffalo.

Even if MSG HD was added to the Directv lineup this does not assure you that the Sabres HD home games would be available.

We are talking two different MSG's here.

I believe the MSG HD you would get is the HD version of Directv channel 621 (Rangers, Knicks etc.).... NOT the RSN alternate of MSG Directv channel 627 (which is only active for Sabres games)

Anyone getting the Kings Flames on 770-1 or 652? I can get the SD channel 770 but not the upconverted broadcast on 770-1 or FSNHD. I realize the game is not in HD, but why is the HD channel blacked out?

I wonder if it has to do with the fact that I do not subscribe to the sports pack. Of course I just got off the phone with a clueless CSR which couldn't fix the problem and basically wanted to send someone out here for a service call. I got the other games tonight on the sub channels but not this one. Oh well, not that big of a deal.

I think you will find that most of the Flyers games are on the CI package.

I don't ever recall any Philly home feeds in the past years.

The Flyer home games are shown using the away feed. We have already seen 2 Flyer road games using the Philly backhaul feeds.

I am getting both, but both channels are pretty bad upconversions, not the decent upconversions that I have seen earlier this week. Then again I just looked at the SD NHLCI channel and it looks horrible compared to the upconverts.

Mine is coming in... I recorded it and just started watching it... does it go 721 later in the broadcast?

What I'm upset about is that the Wings vs Sharks game is in HD on FSBA but that game is not being shown in HD on D*. What sucks even more is that my RSN is FSBA, but I live 300+ miles from San Jose/San Fran and therefore am out of the spotbeam... I get Ext 727 on the FSND HD channel, so I am stuck watching it in SD!!!!

I had 30 minutes to waste, so I played CSR roulette. Got hung up on during a transfer, etc. Anyway, they said no one else called about the 721 message on 770-1. I told them I'm on a website right now where other people around the country are getting the same message. I was likewise able to get the other CI HD games on the sub-channels tonight. Oh well. As expected, they were not able to tell me why I got a "channel not purchased" message when I have both CI and HD.

I am thinking about switching from Dish to DTV. Is there any difference between Center Ice on DTV vs DishNet? Do one of these networks show more HD games then the other?

Dishnet has shown far more HD in its NHLCI package thus far in 07-08.

For those that can get channel 770-1, do you subscribe to the sports pack? And how about those that can't get channel 770-1, do you subscribe to sports pack? I can't think of why some of us get it and some don't. Obviously blackout rules don't apply so I am trying to figure out what gives.
