Who can we complain to? Certainly not a CSR, Chase, or a PR guy.

The D* guys are SO good with the HR20 and the HD. How can they be so utterly bad with sports?

    Been on hold......
    No answers.......
    Asked for a credit....

He tried to send me to an HD tech....
Told him there were at least 20 other people calling in about the tech problem. I want a supervisor to ask for a credit...

    Being transferred to a supervisor....

Now he wants the supervisor to call me in "10 minutes".

    Put me back on hold.

Seriously...straightening out the authorization issue should not take long at all (nor should it take an HD tech). It seems that the people that have the knowledge don't have the proper authority -- and vice versa.

    It does get old.

    We need an ombudsman.

Well, I guess I'm not alone (blacked out as well). I just came home from a 2 week work trip to find that 2 of the 5 games I had set to record weren't recorded (6 hours of a "not authorized" screen). 2 weeks of staying away from newspapers, ESPN, etc so I could watch the games "live", only to find them not there. Topped off by catching up with the recorded games and try to watch this one live and get the blackout message. These guys/gals truely suck. When I called D, the CSR didn't even know what Center Ice was- had to deal with being on hold on and off for 25 minutes before being sent to the supervisor who told me that they weren't obligated to broadcast in HD, that it wasn't in the T's & C's for Center Ice that they had to have "so many" games in HD, and that I could still watch it in SD. Basically, he told me to grin and bear it. Worst customer service I have ever had to deal with- I am SOOOOO gone when my contract expires.

Understand the frustration ... but in my experience other providers are equally clueless when it comes to sports blackouts. Then again, they don't have the frequency of problems we've been experiencing lately.

I'm appreciative for the changes they are attempting to make to Center Ice, I really am. But they've got to get their act together on these authorization issues...and they need to provide CSRs with better answers to hand out, and the knowledge to direct these calls to whomever can get things fixed.

    Question:
Does anyone know, is the Bruins/ Blackhawks game being shown in HD on Dish?

It’s doubly frustrating because I believe Comcast Chicago is broadcasting tonight’s action in HD as well –

The one thing that is odd is the Dish vs DirectTV lineup posted previously showed that Dish was not showing this game in HD. Maybe it was a typo in the guide and not an authorization thing like last nights Lightning / Caps game....?

    Supervisor supposedly calling me now......

    5 minutes..... no call

    On the line now.....

    she acknowledged the problem.....

    I asked for credit.....

    waiting....

she cannot give a credit on CI....

179 people in the queue about the same problem.....

    waiting.......

    ARE YOU READY FOR THIS????????

She "authorized" a 33 cent credit for 1 day of HD access.

I swear on my father's grave!

    33 cents!!!!!!!

    UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

The biggest complaint I have is if the game is not going to be broadcast on a certain channel REMOVE IT FROM THE GUIDE! If someone was going to record this game on channel 764-1 they are going to be ticked off. Yes, I can watch it live on the SD channel but sometimes I record games and watch them later.

The excuses the CSR gave you are unaccecptable.

I'm surprised you got that -- since no HD games are guaranteed in the package, just "select" games. Of course, when they have selected the HD game and put it in their guide, blacking people out by mistake is not acceptable.

    33 cents. Too funny.

True. But that would be unacceptable to me as well, since the game is being broadcast in HD from a channel on the D10 satellite.
