I agree but the add-on is the only way to get all Canadian feeds. That doesn’t look like it will change. NHL is just not that high on their totem pole. If NHL.TV was not part of CI as an add-on I’d pay for it as a separate package as others here do, and as I did before it was part of CI.

A question for everyone....If I subscribe to CI (as I have done for 20+ years) and pay all the payments, then drop Directv for another provider during the season...will I still be able to get the NHL.TV, that also comes with the package, after I switch providers?

I don't believe so. The NHL.TV subscription is tied to your DIRECTV account. So if you cancel that, I think you also lose the .TV account. But I could be wrong.

Might as well get a standalone NHL.TV subscription up front if you’re set on leaving D* unless the provider you’re switching to offers the CI/NHL.TV add-on as well.

Anyone know if DirecTV will have Avs home broadcasts in the clear on CI given the ongoing dispute with Altitude? Assuming nhl.tv would, but what about the TV portion? Other than Canadian broadcasts, aren’t CI feeds usually just remaps of the rsn?

My understanding is Avs games will appear on CI for out-of-market subscribers in the 769-787 range.
The Altitude dispute is independent from DirecTV's responsibilities to the NHL and Center Ice.

It would not surprise me if we only see the Avs' opposition feeds on CI, as DirecTV is not obligated to show both feeds.

Yeah, D* has access to all feeds for every sports package they carry. Doesn’t matter if they’re on DirecTv channel lineup.
Case in point; Spectrum Sportsnet LA - Dodgers

You can always watch those feeds on the NHL app, or at NHL.TV, as long as you’re not in the Avalanche home territory.

Speaking of the NHL app its disappointing that D* doesn’t allow us to watch the preseason games with our subscription to NHLCI.

Do CI customers currently have access to NHL.TV or does that start at the beginning of the season? I only have .TV so don't know when that access starts.

For the last couple of years, D* subs to CI have had access to nhl.tv starting on or around the first game of the season. Access ends sometime after the last game of the regular season, although playoff games are not accessible live. Replays have been available up until they flip the switch to terminate access through the D* login.

Ok. I have .TV and am watching preseason games on that. Can CI subscribers currently log into .TV?

Yeah, I get the same exact thing. I hate that DTV blocks us from pre-season games. I got a Roku ready for not only for the NHL, but AHL.TV. For the full season, $79, $99 playoffs included. How can you beat that?

Keep in mind that NFL CI is an out-of-market, regular season package with blackouts for nationally televised games.
