Looks like someone forgot to flip the switch on the Senators/Canucks game tonight.

What do you guys think of this new Game Flow feature on the app now? I think it’s kind of silly. I would much rather have quad PIP.

No Montreal - Edmonton game tonight?

Good thing we can stream it.

I’m not home to verify, but I’ll take your word for it that’s not available through CI. It seems like that might be the first game without at least one feed on CI for the past several years, though. Anybody remember the last time that happened?

    Thursday, Jan.2.

No feeds for Oilers, Habs, Sens, Flames, Canucks, and Flyers - on a premium service we pay extra for.
The only reason the Leafs and Jets are on CI is they are playing each other!

Yet 788 to 794 is showing seven women's basketball games - on a service included in our subscription.

Nothing against women's BB, but there are six unused CI channels tonight, all of which would be a "part time" reallocation of PPV channels.
Now reallocated to things like the Newberry - Furman game.

Also, the DirecTV NHL schedule page has been down all week.

Really a shame there is no way you can watch any of those feeds. :persevere:

You can. And it doesn't cost you anything else as it is included with your CI subscription.

I don't begin to understand why so many Canadian feeds aren't included with CI. Bandwidth, licensing, contracts, 'excessive' cost, etc. But at least DIRECTV has provided a solution.

I'm currently watching the full replay of Oilers/Sabers game (SNW feed) and the live Blackhawks/Canucks game (SNP feed).

    Life is grand.

Hi, TRH. You're 100% right. This is truly a first world problem, as the CI games are all available through NHL.tv.

And if there is ever a day it's just to easy to switch between live games on my Roku as it is through DirecTV, I'll never mention this again.

Until then, we continue to be shortchanged with the lack of Canadian feeds, and the random decisions from DirecTV on when we get them. 4 more are missing today.

Also, I'm fairly certain the NHL "mandates" any operator carrying Center Ice to also provide credentialed access to NHL.tv. So, it's really not DirecTV providing a solution.

    Cheers,
    cmasia

Do any US providers of CI provide all the feeds (and in HD)?

    I don't think so.

I hear you. I'm still trying to get the NHL to bring back multi-game views on their NHL.TV website and add it to their streaming apps as well. They took it away at the beginning of this season, not sure why. And watching a game on NHL.TV isn't great either now, its not even full screen, its "postage stamped" letter boxed.

I know, first world problems. :)

Really? I just signed up for NHL.TV earlier today and was watching on my Roku. It was full screen and looked great. I also got a military veterans discount off the $104.99 half season price. With the discount I only paid $68.24. I like it.

Yes on a Roku or other streaming device it’s full screen. I’m talking about the website, NHL.TV.

FWIW, DirecTV has reduced the "window" of the NHLCI channels from 4 hours to 3.

Almost all games end within the 3 hour window, but for recording purposes, adding another hour couldn't hurt.

Also, was disappointed Channel 769-1 went dark in between the early game and the late game on HNIC.
Hope that was an error, and not a trend.

Regular season with 5 min OT and shootout rarely goes over three hours. But if there is a special event (retiring a player's jersey) or other delays (broken glass/severe injury to a player), adding that hour is good advice for a game you want to have recorded.

During playoffs? One hour might not be enough. But then our problem is where will the game be shown? Or where will the next game be shown? It would be nice if NBC would tell us their plans ahead of time for games that end up overlapping.

they still like the use that cable only reverse mirror feed of NBCSN with NHLNET and not use the NBCSN ALT slot on directv.
Directv 2th game NHL NET all the time. Why not just let Direct fireup the NBCSN alt feed for the full game?? like they seem to do in round 1 and some times in round 2?

Been hit or miss for years.

Where is NBCSN ALT? CHI MIN bigger then TB MTL.

    NBCSN ALT not being used?

    2017-18 NHL Center Ice
read up to about page 17

    Two NBCSN (220) in Guide

and yet NBCSN / CHI Chicago has been really good with useing all 3 HD feeds on Directv (better then comcast!)

I’m trying to use the iPad app. Something serious is going on with them tonight. It keeps taking me in a login circle.

EDIT: Website login is not working either.

My website is working fine. I did receive a long buffering circle while watching Penguins/Bruins. Changed from Pit feed to Boston. That cleared that up.

So I called NHL.TV support and the lady there (who spoke broken English) said that if you subscribe through NHLCI with Directv that you can only stream on one device at a time. I've never had issues before streaming on multiple devices at the same time. So I logged in and out from the website and that seem to have cleared up the issues on my iPad, I was able to log on to it.

    So I don't know what's going on??
