    That would be great.

Just curious, is this a software issue that goes along with the -1 issues?

    Thanks

I doubt SatelliteRacer, is behind the Directv curtain, the almighty Oz of satellite TV if you will, inferring he or she who controls all programming. Apparently privileged to inside information, my comments, admittedly sarcastic, were in regard to the information posted and not directed at the individual. Those comments were a result of my continuing derision for the ostensible lack of Directv’s concern regarding the availability of the current NHL programming. My apologies to SatelliteRacer if, he or she, like some of you here, mistook my juvenile tongue in cheek opportunity to poke and kick the giant, not the messenger.

Looks like the Predators/Oilers game had dual feeds tonight, and one of them was a Canadian feed. :)

I'm pretty sure that the advertisings say by "end of the year". It takes two sides to make a deal. Hopefully it is sooner rather than later.

I just checked on On Screen guide and it is showing the HNIC pre and post games shows! :hurah:

It also shows up in the online guide at DirecTV.com but not on the NHLCI schedules on the web or on the slides on DirecTV.

Games tonight, 11/3, that D* could show in HD or upconversion through CI:

Bruins @ Senators 7pm in HD on NESN
Canucks @ Avalanche 10pm in HD on ALT spot beam (channel 94 possible)
    Blackhwawks @ Blues 8:30pm upconversion on CSN-CH

These are feeds that D* is already getting. Let's see if we get them too.

I think its because of all the HD college football today. D* needs to get the rest of the HD RSN's up on D10.

I find it totally amazing on how much HD NCAA football I have available on my D*. No I am not complaining at all for I love football. But I have had zero problems with football channels advertised in HD and the programing is either blacked out, channel 772, or not in HD. But my hockey on the other hand is such a slow work in progress. When football season ends, and I turn all my attention to the NHL, I hope things are fixed.

Here is my question for Satelliteracer......

Since MLB, NBA and NHL own the out of market rights to televise their product, therefore we have Extra Innings, league pass and center ice respectively, then why don't you broadcast MSGHD to the rest of the nation while you work on securing rights for NY. You do this for Comcast Philadelpia and Cox in San Diego during the baseball season.

It absolutely does NOT say by the end of the year for those two channels! The mailing I received and have in front of me right now says "YOUR NEW DIRECTV HD CHANNELS ARE HERE" and lists MSG HD and FSN NY HD as well as many others. Several channels that are NOW live are not listed.

The D* advertisement specifically says that the channels with a little 'cross' emblem are slated for launch in late 2007 or 2008 and MSG HD and FSN NY HD do NOT have the little cross next to them. This specifically says MSG HD and FSN NY HD are indeed live and "here".

Someone scanned and posted the exact same mailing in this thread on an earlier page..see for yourself if you do not believe me.

Big Fat Ditto, tjb! You said it all in your posting above, except that you mis-spoke by using the word "implying". D* isn't implying, however. D* specifically lists MSG HD and FSN NY HD on their current lineup of "HD CHANNELS THAT ARE HERE".

Thanks again for your efforts, Satelliteracer, and as you can tell, there are many of us, whether they be fans of the Rangers, Islanders, Devils, Knicks, or the Red Bulls that are eagerly waiting for MSG HD and FSN NY HD on D* CONUS.

Well I have had enough of this. Directv has had almost 2 months to figure this out and I am done. I watched the entire Bruin's pregame in HD INCLUDING HD remote feeds from Ottawa...then at exactly 7:00 is does the same damn thing it has been doing for 2 months....727 game not available. I've been a customer since 1994 and at the end of this season I will no longer subscribe to Center Ice via Directv.

Yup, this sucks. The SD is on though.

But why oh why is the HD feed not on?? I just don't get this at all. Again, what is the point of having all of these HD feeds up on conus if we can not watch them when we pay for NHLCI???

    :nono2: :bang

And can we PLEASE get the 2 NHL Center Ice threads combined? Thanks

Don't blame D* for the MSGHD mess. Yes - they jumped the gun in assuming they'd be able to telecast it. But it's a similar case to CSN-Philly where the owner refuses to let D* have the signal.

D* has seriously messed up the NHL package, but MSG is not their doing.

We should buy D* stock and, as shareholders, demand that the person responsible for this be fired. Immediately.

It seems like Directv just doesn't like us getting anything hockey related from Canada in HD !

    Sucks big time !!

I just don't get why this NESN game is not on in HD, yet they're using the SD feed in the 700's. :nono2:
