I'm stoked... things are looking good with all the HD games and UpConverts... the "HD" next to the games that are in true HD listed in the guide is also nice.

Just can't wait for the next round of RSNs... especially FSNBA

It would be great to have CBC as a normal HD channel. I used to watch Newsworld (or something like that) in the 300s but DirecTV removed it. I wonder if FCC laws would allow a DirecTV to add a Canadian channel. I used to have 'em with c-band.

DirecTV didn't remove Newsworld International. Algore bought the channel and turned it into Current.

On C-Band, they were on Canadian satellites. But after while all CBC feeds were scrambled and the only ones that remained unscrambled were the CTV feeds that were digital. Not sure if they are scrambled yet or not.
    I miss my BUD.

Ah, OK. I was wondering what happened to that channel. I've never really watched much of Current.

I must have had C-Band before the scrambling started...

Yes WHY did they cut away from the first game during the post game show. I knew they would cut away at 6 PM when the news was on but why during the post game show. Seems to me this is another example of someone in the controll center not paying attention.

Yes and isn't Current one of the biggest waist on bandwidth you have ever seen?! I sure miss Newsworld International but it is gone for good.

Trio was a joint effort between the CBC and Power Corporation of Canada, then Universal purchased the channel and eventually turned it into Sleuth.

Yes, Current is worthless. I'm surprise the channel is still around.

I think since this happened earlier in the day, this isn;t being complained about much... so even though the D* coverage is getting better, this was another typical screwup. Right during a post game interview, graphic and music comes up. Only to be taken down in the middle of a round table interview with the HOF inductees. So I am glad there is some progress, there still needs to be some improvement. Not too mention uniformity. There are still a lot of unnecessary blackouts. For example the Canucks - Avs game. Why black out the Avs on ALtitude? Even if D* doesn't have the channels space, if they go with the Canucks in the 700's just leave Altitude in the 600's unblocked. Seems simple. I guess its not.

I did not have any of the pregame for the Canadians Senators, and I did not have the game either. I just had the D* torquoise? logo.

The next RSNs hopefully launch this week...we'll know in a day or so if it's a thumbs up. Originally I thought 14 games only RSNs were going to launch, that's actually scaled back to 13 as one isn't ready yet (fiber situation). That RSN doesn't have hockey, however, so it won't effect NHL fans but will effect NBA fans until it is connected through. Hopefully in early January.

I'm going to guess that one is CSN-NE?

Any word on MSG NY/Buffalo or FSN-NY HD feeds?

    Thanks

    Lancaster,...
The silence from anyone of authority at D* about MSG (NY) HD and FSN NY HD is deafening.

And understandable during ongoing negotiations. We'll hear something when it is a definite "go" or a definite "no-go."

So I still don't get why the Altitude feed, SD or HD, is not being used? Even the SD feed on 644 is not being used as a dual feed in the 700's. The football games are long over so they could have put the HD feed on 94/95.

Is there something going on with Altitude that we don't know about?

    Thanks

This could be the first signal that this thread may actually end- we’re down to critiquing the commercial selection now on CI!
