I have a new HR24 with no sound on a Samsung Smart TV. Have tried it on other brands and sounds works fine. Tried it on two different model Samsung TVs and no audio. Directv service could not figure a solution. We switch HDMI cables and HDMI inputs. Attach a mini client (wireless) to the same Samsung and it works fine. Checked all the Audio options in both the HR24 and the Samsung settings and nothing works. The only work around Directv service could offer was to use RCA audio cables which means I have to take the TV off the wall, run wires behind the walls, etc. Probably easier to just exchange it for a mini client but I like the extra recording capabilities on the HR24. So has anyone had this issue with Samsungs and HR24s. PS: It was working fine and stopped all of a sudden. So replaced old receiver with a new one with same results.
