No Guide Data for local channel CBS New York Channel 2

Ditto. (Guide data is present on my FiOS STB however, so definitely a DirecTV issue.)

 

Same here for me. I did try a reset to my HR44 and after that the CBS guide data came back but after a few minutes it vanished yet again. I also tried the 'clearmybox' search term and that did nothing to help the issue.

 

My Series Manage Meet the Press did not record this morning. It did record on CBS Ch390.

 

Just use channel 390. The guide is working there nationally.

unless the customer has a SWM LNB, is always best just to do a red button reset which accomplished the same result. When there is a legacy LNB most customers don't know what LNB they have and they might end up choosing TS wrong LNB, specially when the receiver most often times defaults to a 3LNB. If they choose a 3 LNB but they have a 5 LNB this will only make the issue worse.

don't take as criticism, is not meant to be that way. I was giving you more of a tip. is usually never a good idea to do a repeat satellite set up, unless something in the system such a switch or LNB is being done. For other quirks or glitches a red button reset should do the trick.

But when said distant IS your local, you get it both spots. This is Directv, not Dish. The even channels in the 390's (Except 394) are just mirrors of the NYC local. It's like watching an Extra Innings game on either channel 7XX or the local RSN. It's the exact same thing. Someone on this very thread said that they did it today with Meet the Press on ch 390. Do people read before they post?

When I realize as I went to bed last night that this CBS problem was on all my STBs, I schedule an early Sunday Ch390 recording on my bedroom DVR and was able to watch it later from my Genie.

 

The local 2 for the NYC DMA is just a remap of 390, so people affected don't need DNS service. As long as they subscribe to locals, everyone in the NYC DMA gets 390 (WCBS), 392 (WNBC), 396 (WABC) and 398 (WNYW).

It's the same with the rest of the DNS channels, LA gets 391, 393, 397 and 399. DC gets 394 and San Diego gets 395.
