Then it was sent back as defective because OTA didn't work, they didn't test OTA when it came back to be refurbed, and shipped it back out.
I've heard some people needing to go through 2-3 refurbs to get one that works all the way.

I have an update. When I called D* about this problem, they were convinced that the problem was my 3 LNB dish and scheduled a service call to upgrade my dish to a 5LNB. At least thats what I was told.

Yesterday, the tech arrived and his work order was for replacing the DVR. The refurb'd HR20-100 has been replaced with a new HR20-700s. This resolved my problem, except for the local OTA Fox channel.

The Fox channel thing is weird. I'd swear that I checked it before the software upgrade and that it was working. My OTA receiver says that I get 9-1 Fox KMSP-DT and 9-1 KAWEDT. I indicate that I don't get KAWEDT and I still can't get a signal on the signal meter for the 9-1 KMSP-DT. I do get the 9-2 KMSPDT.

So, I have a dish upgrade scheduled for 8/15 which will allow me to get the Fox HD signal via satellite. So, I guess all is good. I will scan the boards and see if I can find anything regarding my issue in the mean while.

    Thanks for your help everyone.

I'm confused by your report of having two 9-1 channels (or maybe you mistyped something?).

If the DIRECTV configuration information for your zip code is incorrect, you'll need to report it and wait until they fix it.

I'm sure that someone made a very compelling case for the local channel information coming from a central database, but it has caused a overwhelming amount of frustration.

No typo, I actually have 2 9-1 channels listed in my OTA channel listing. If you go to
http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=85879&page=3, you will see that one or 2 others have documented this. It is apparently a PBS station in Bemidji, which is well outside my range. But, maybe people on the north side of the Twin Cities can get this channel. I don't know.
