I try to use scoreguide on my HR24 at least once a day but most of the time it just makes the bonk noise which is frustrating.

Are you on a sports type channel when you are trying to access it?

I would be much happier with ScoreGuide if it did not display a popup window when I switch to a sports channel. I know the red button should activate it; I don't need a popup window to remind me.

Yes I'm on a sports channel, ESPN and MLBN mostly. A reset fixes it, but I'm getting tired of resetting the receiver. It just quits out of the blue. I'm trying to get a fix on the lead up to failure, but at this point I'm at a loss as to the "why." I have no other problems with the receiver, so I'm a tad frustrated. I do like catching the scores and using it to find other games, so it has purpose to me...

I had the same problem and did a reset and it works fine now.

Anyone here an MLS Direct Kick sub? Does your scoreguide ever show results for MLS games? Mine sometimes shows soccer results, but only EPL, La Liga, etc., never MLS.

Put me down as a Scoreguide hater. I find it very distracting to have it pop up when I'm watching a sports channel. Yes, I know I can just press exit, but why should I have to do this? Plus, since I'm a notorious surfer, every time I come back to a sports channel - it's back again...

Would much prefer an option in the receiver menu to turn it off permanently. That would satisfy everyone, I think. Those who like it, have it, and those of us who hate it can get rid of it.

    Just a thought...

I've not seen scoreguide in at least a week. I can't get it to work.

Weird, I don't know if I've every had scoreguide pop up.

I know about it, so when I'm on a sports channel, I'll sometimes hit the red button and access it, but if I don't hit the red button, I'd never even know it was there.

Would be nice if scoreguide only offered the 'watch now' option if I had a channel available to watch it on. Giving a list of 10 channels and having to check each only to find they are not channels I subscribe to is not very useful.

It's pretty simple to know what channels you subscribe to, assuming you don't get any of the sports packages. If it's in the 200s, you probably get it. If it's in the 600s, you'll only get it if it's on your RSN. If it's in the 700s, you don't get it.

Seems that 90%+ of the games with 'watch' at any given time I can't watch. Very nice idea but in practice is a little disappointing.

I,find the score guide fine to use on sport channels just using the red button to bring up or remove. This is at our control not like all the constant scrolls at the bottom of the screen that never go away on most sport events etc,ESPN. On non sport channels I,like having the apps to keep check on the Phillies as watching something without losing what I am watching. This is good for me and other Phila.area fans that can,t get CSN Phila. yet on DirecTv .

That's because you don't subscribe to the appropriate packages.

I guess I would have to subscribe to all sports packages for it to work right.

Maybe launching a real smartsearch for the game would be better.

It's amazing how easily people are annoyed. A little bug that pops up for 2-3 seconds at the bottom left corner of the screen is really nothing to get your panties in a bunch about. I personally love ScoreGuide. It's a very easy, quick way to get scores and even find and go to the channel a particular game is on. For sports fans who watch sports channels, what easier way is there to quickly check scores? There isn't! Why are some of you people peeved about it so much? I just don't get it..

Scoreguide wasn't working during the the Fox Saturday baseball game between the Reds and Padres. Does it not work on local HD stations? I find it doesn't work much of the time. Could this be why?

No, ScoreGuide doesn't work on local stations or other satellite channels like TBS or WGN when they cally sports games, it's only on full time like ESPN or the RSN channels.
