Amen. You should be entertained by your entertainment.
Okay, what part of ESPN owns the broadcast rights early on the Sunday after the All Star game did you not understand? It did not matter if ESPN moved the game back to 8pm. If they own the rights, they own the rights. ESPN has to release them. DirecTV nor In Demand cannot just take them.
The ultimate decision lies with ESPN, not with DirecTV or In Demand. Period.
You're beloved Fios didn't have yesterdays west coast games, either. Would you have thrown a hissy fit & blamed them, too? Hope you don't want NHL CI or EI with tons of games in HD if you get Fios. You get a whopping 1 to very rare 2 HD channels for EI, CI, LP to all share! That means you'll be lucky to get 2 games total per day in HD. Directv sucks, huh?
You'd think that this being a Free Preview weekend, MLB and its broadcast partners for this revenue generating service would do everything in its power to provide the maximum exposure for its product.
I stopped subscribing to EI years ago because of the arcane blackout rules. Sometimes MLB just can't get out of its own way.
I would rather get to watch a full program then to have parts blacking out and a losing signal display coming up..
Cause I disapprove over a company, wow, you have issues..
You love DTV, Thats great for you. I did too whenever I first got it. I still want too, but since last fall, the service here has sucked. If you don't like my opinions, thats fine, put me on ignore.
Fios never goes out? Must be magical. Sounds like you're setup has other issues.
Please spare me the know-it-all attitude. I know who has the rights and what it means. I still think D* could have done something on Friday knowing the game was at 8pm eastern even if it was to confirm that there would be no access to late games yesterday. And Im very happy with what D* provides as far as HD sports.
D* or any of the other providers that did not carry the games could not do anything if the contract ESPN has specifically states on this day they can't carry games after a certain time. Now obviously the rules were made up before ESPN made their schedule change but the TV providers are not going to break a contract unless ESPN and MLB tell them they can.
When the ESPY's aired live on Wednesday Night and DirecTV's own guide said Phillies/Cubs at 8PM on Sunday, it should have been a tip off for whomever to get this blackout issue resolved.
Either way, I'm not worried about it anymore, as the games will be back tonight. made for a boring Sunday afternoon though. Missed the Mets/Giants game which was good.
Spare me the I-know-nothing attitude.
For the last time: THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING.
My Fios breaks up everytime the phone rings. I am sure it can be fixed but even if they cannot get it to work for me, I am not going to bash everything they do on web forums. Sometimes technical issues cannot be resolved.
No, I have issues when someone pollutes a discussion because of a bias. I neither love nor hate DirecTV. I have them as a TV provider. Funny, the OP says he is satisfied but you have to continue to spew your venom.
As for your technical issue. Gee, others don't have it. That means there is something wrong in your setup. YOUR setup. But your posting in this thread is clearly an intent to make us all unhappy with the DirecTV service. Since when do you get to decide that for us. You are unhappy. Fine. I get that. We all get that. How about concentrating on the actual issues you are having rather than condemning everything that DirecTV does?
If you are having issues, why can I not find a post from you on technical issues going back to Fall 2009? All I find are rants about what programming is available and what is not. And price.
This forum can help.
Somehow I doubt this will be your last post on the topic.
Lower the caps. Spare me the snark.
Can we please closed this thread, before all hell break losse in here.
Thats funny, I know many people who have gone from DTV to Fios and love it, many on here too..
Sorry I am mot all Pro-DTV.. Like I said my last 8-12 months have been a total nightmare. I did have a few issues resolved on here, but I feel paying a near 200 a month bill 12 months a year I think the people I give the money too should be able to handle my issues, not a web forum online.
Oh jesus, now my Satellite going out IS MY Problem, nothing DTV has done.. I forgot this company never does any wrong here..
Please you don't know the situation, quit trying to act like you do.
One more thing. Don't you think MLB would have jumped through hoops to clear the games on a Free Preview week? Or did ESPN really want us to care about a poker tournament from a year ago ( and yes I love WSOP).
Folks, let's do our best to keep things under control ..
