Not a big deal but where's AFN?

    When I first heard Directv was getting AFN, I thought it was going to be "Armed Forces Network", which I watched in Germany years and years ago.

    I don't know if this means anything, but it looks like the bandwidth used for AFN is now being used for an infomercial channel. If you go to the guide and highlight channel 219 EURO, its description says "Paid Programming", but its channel name says "Artists and Fans Network." (That channel is showing infomercials and not AFN.)

    I noticed that, and my custom selection of ch. 325 was moved by D* to 219. Hmmm. But the programming there is the infomercials.

    Well whatever it's called, and if you don't or do like it, it would be nice to have it back! Looks like I may just send an email to them and remind them (A&FN) we need it back.

    It's an equipment problem that they are working on.
    It'll be back as soon as they can get it, I'm sure.

    If you say so! :D I sure hope so.

    I just figured with the channel "changing" (back to an info channel) that it might be something over money exchanging hands between D* and AFN.

    Good to hear.

    Is AFN 100% completely gone? I can't even get the channel anymore.

    I noticed this a few days ago the channel is gone from the selections. Totally deleted.

    I wonder why D* didn't at least put up a blue screen on the channel with info about the situation?

    Two years ago AFN was on Dishnetwork for a year but vanished.
