I didn't say we should mention it, but I'm sure someone will ask it ...

I said the cost of the extra case metal is negligible.

You know what, there are no "dumb questions" ...

We'e already seen numerous and varied questions in the CES AM21 thread, and we are the AM21 test group. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt for us to come up with a list of questions, "dumb", smart and otherwise, so that we can be prepared for the onslaught of follow-up questions after the First Look is published ...

For every stupid question, there is a stupid person to ask it.

Seriously though, I think you're right. There are people out there who will find anything they possibly can to complain about.

    Exactly...

The cost between making the AM21 the size of the circuit board, vs the width of the HR20... is probably sub $1.

As for the AM21 vs including the components in the HR21...
It is probably close to a $50 savings on the HR21...

Well I guess $50 multiplied by however many million recievers they build = alot of money. Combined with thier coverage of HD locals makes sense to not put it in financially. Cool pics Earl and thanks for the clarification on the money side. Do we know how much they are going to be yet. I mean retail.

By the way... After studying the pics closer I can see your HR21 Pro in the background of the first one. ;-)

    Lucky guy!

hmm $60. Would you pay that for it? Honestly how do you feel about it now that we have them? I for one probably would, but will the average person?

I wouldn't pay $5 for it. OTA just doesn't matter to me.
No, but the average person doesn't care about OTA anyway. So this isn't for them.
