I recently replaced my old Dish Model 4000 (1999 vintage) with a 622. The Dish 300 dish was re-pointed to 61.5 Along the way I bought a Voom receiver off eBay to pick up OTA's pre-622. It came complete with a voom lnbf and dish.

Can the old model 4000 and the Voom lnbf work together so that I can set both up to receive dish at another site (given the $5 additional receiver charge)????

I'd like to know the answer to this before I go through the trouble of mounting and aiming the lnbf head.

    thanks.

Yes the VOOM dish and LNBF will work with the 4000 with no problems. The VOOM LNBF is the same as Directv and the Legacy DISH LNBFs.

As I understand Dish Rules. You can only have 1 location per account. If you want to set up your 4000 at a diffrent address then you will need another account. YOu will be paying alot more than $5 extra!!!

"at another site" sure sounds like a different address to me.

To answer the question, Yes electrically they can work together.

Did you get a yellow smart card for your 4000 before you took it off line? If not, you would have to get that card swapped first. E* upgraded their CAS over a year ago, the old blue smart cards no longer work.
