Thats not strange at all. Look who wrote the laws! I bet there were lots of 50yo men in the legislature that fantasize about their neighbors 14yo daughters. There are probably lots of men fantasizing about 14yo boys also but they arent as open as the heteros.

Wasn't there a saying about 'Its better to be caught in bed with a dead girl than a live boy'.

And back on the topic, I never saw the attraction in dumb (looking) blonds esp young ones. Give me a sultry, slinky dark haired, olive skinned mature woman any day.

I suppose that's because your definition of pedophilia might differ from the more commonly accepted one. Pedophilia generally applies to pre-adolescent children. It does not generally apply to sexually mature teens. I don't know of any general excuse given to heterosexuals who pray on children. They are roundly condemned and thought of as perverts. I've had the pleasure of putting a number of them in prison, some for very many years. That includes homosexuals and heterosexuals. No distinction has been made in the sentences, so far as I know.

Heck, in India these girls would be old maids......

    All I want to know.....

What's the number of months on the over/under until they show up on the cover of Maxim? Ditto for Lindsay Lohan......

Careers on the upswing?.... Maxim...... (like Kirsten Dunst a few years back) If the "star" is on the downswing..... Playboy (like Charisma Carpenter post Angel)

OK, I couldn't resist looking up your favs.

Monica is not too bad, born in 1966 makes here mature enough, but she is a bit too supermodel for my tastes. There has to be at least some faint hope of 'attainment' ;)

Eliza is way too young (1980) and after seeing her as the daughter in "True Lies" she will forever be the chubby faced kid in my eyes.

Rudi - CNN Reporter from Iran (she was in the anchor chair on the morning of 9/11). We Have a winner! How do you say 'who's your daddy?' in Farsi? :)

Interesting... you want to implicate me for something unseemly, yet have no qualm about grown men ogling underage girls.

For the record, not that it is any of your business, I have absolutely no desire or interest in anyone under the age of about 27 to 30, if even that low. I prefer someone with a bit more maturity between their ears.

Maybe if you cared more about how young girls were treated, there would be far less incidents of child abuse than there are now.

Actually, I think it more common that the term "pedophile" is understood to mean any adult who preys upon underage persons. I dare say you ask anyone on the street and they would venture that response. I do know that technically you are correct.

But it is very common for young high-school girls to have older boyfriends, many college-age. Very little is made of that, usually, doesn't even raise an eyebrow. But let a college-age guy date a high-school boy and all hell would break loose.

I don't advocate, not in the least, that anyone, straight or gay, be given legal approval to have sex with children. Far from it!!! But at least make it equitable.

Danny, that's a good point. Their bottom line so to speak indicates at least some level of savviness, vs. the Hiltons who just appear to be ditzes. It will be interesting to see where the Olsens end up by the time they're 30 or so.

Once again it comes down to who is doing the judging. Someone WANTS to nail someone (legally I mean... pardon the pun) and goes about trying to find a law to put them away.

Unfortunately the net has been expanding outward for the past few decades and will only get worse. Pedophilia used to be having sex with preteen children, then moved up to teens, and now the term is regularly thrown about in regards to people that have photos of people that look like they COULD be underage (all those photos of Pam Anderson in a plaid skirt doing the schoolgirl thing will soon qualify at this rate). Just ask Pee Wee.... he finally learned to avoid the X Rated theatres and then they raided his porn collection with "vintage erotica". I'm pretty sure he couldn't produce model releases on all the photos so they naturally assumed he was in possession of kiddie porn. Next they'll wind up confiscating his Sailor Moon DVD collection.

Eventually they will pass enough laws to make us all technically criminals. Then it will just be a matter of prosceuting those they don't like or who pi-ss them off.

Sorry, my inner libertarian comes out at weird times. When these teens prance about like Britney did in provocative outfits, I refuse to think of myself as a pervert because I look at them with lust in my heart (well a little lower probably) I always laugh when they then go all virginal and act shocked that they are having that effect on men. Yeah, right.

As for the gay angle, my attitude is that nothing is more important to me than how I, ahem, achieve my temporary state of bliss, while nothing is LESS important to me than how you achieve yours. Not that there is anything wrong with that (apologies to Jerry Seinfeld). I agree that current conservative administration loves to roll out the "immoral" label, but I've seen many homosexual relationships with two loving partners that were MUCH more healthy than their "nuclear family" counterparts. Actually, I've known many where "nuclear" is the correct term as mushroom clouds are blowing out the windows from the amount of constant hate being generated by a few of these winners. I'm a civil rights guy in that EVERYONE should be treated equally regardless of race, color, creed, or sexual orientation. And by equal I mean that no set asides should be made either, as I am a big reverse discrimination fighter, so neither side likes my type. That includes medical coverage and labels for tax purposes. We've got bigger things to worry about in the world today.

    End of rant.

Excellent rant. If everyone is treated equally, you don't need "set asides" and quotas. Perhaps someday we'll see such a world.

Any man over 30 going after girls under 18 years old needs to be locked away. But I know people like Democrat Larry Flynt would not agree. Maine State Prison is full of Men who did just that.

Totally agree. It's too bad we don't have more leadership at the federal, state, and local level to serve as a catalyst to help make that happen. But in reality, on something like this, it's what happens at the neighborhood level that really counts. I remember during the gas crisis of the early 70's how more and more people turned to neighborhood activities and learned just how valuable their parks and school facilities really were. People discovered they had a lot more in common, regardless of race or orientation, than they had differences.
