I just want to know everyone's opinion on this issue. I have been posting updates in regards to Anime (Japanese Animation) programming, and obviously, a lot of it is on Cartoon Network. Since anime shows usually have a run of 13-26 episodes, with a occassional show having 40 episodes, and a rarity when a show have more episodes than that. (Inuyasha, for instance, is still in production at this time in Japan.)

But, is anyone interested in these posts, or am I just a minority? Obviously, I don't want to hit people over the heads with anime programming.

While I appreciate the anime programming Mark, my daughter and I have found that due to the editing done on Cartoon Network, we just rent the DVD's from Netflix.

This way you can also hear them the way they were meant to be, in Japanese!

The editing by Cartoon Network has been a source of controversy for years. Basically, they have to adhere to a series of standards and practices for the network. I look at it this way: If I live the series on Cartoon Network, I can get the uncut version on DVD.

The Big O, during it's run on Toonami, was edited. (i.e. "Cast In The Name Of Good, Ye Not Guilty"). It was popular enough, though, that Cartoon Network co-produced another 13 episodes. When they re-ran the first season again on Adult Swim, there was absolutely no cuts.

It is still a juggling act. .hack//SIGN ran for 26 weeks, and is in the middle of the second complete run. The DVD release is up to Disk 5, which covers episodes 19-22. Releases of The Big O-Season 2 start next month.

Of course, Cartoon Network is also the network that banned Speedy Gonzales on the US feed.

As for dubbing, many people thought that the English dub for Cowboy Bebop was much better than the original Japanese version.

I like knowing whats on. I'll give them a shot, if I don't like it I go to the next Anime I might like. Usually any Anime news I get is from you, I don't go checking all the Anime sites to find out whats on.

I like the updates. I just watch what is on and if I like it enough I will buy. Like Trigun. Loved it, bought it.

The new one that they just got(Witch Hunter Robin) seems like it should be good. I'm looking out for that one on my TiVo. :D
