ordering C61K

    I ordered a C61k from DTV and they messed the order up big time, so my question is can i order one from a third party retailer and just install it my self im just replace a C51. I have a HS17.

    I tried they originally gave it to me free, but when tech came out they order said "customer owned" like i all ready had one, he tried to have them correct it to "tech deliver" but now the system wants to charge me 99.00 up front so he left I've call several time they can't fix it. so i can get one cheaper than 99 on amazon or ebay

    The C61K-700 is currently available at Solid Signal for $99.00 but as Jimmie and Rich said you should pursue having DIRECTV correct your order.

    Yeah, that's just settling. D* must like that. Another benefit of having untrained CSRs.

    ok tried several times same results , the system would let them give it to me for ) dollars , it wont let them charge my DTV acct. so they can credit it after, i will call again today. but back to my original question if i by a new one from a third party retailer can i just replace the current C51 i have because the tech is not going to do anything i can't do my self.

    Try this number next time, they are a lot more help. 800-824-9077. It is the customer Loyalty department. They might transfer you to the Resolutions department if they can not fix your order.

    thank you but customer loyalty is the ones when started this mess and i have been dealing with , i current ly on the phone with then now waiting for a manager to get on the call this call no. 4, at this point i just want a credit for to offset the cost of buying one on line. but again i i install my self

    I know it's difficult, but you have to be patient. This is why I avoid change until stability occurs. Getting the first of a line of DVRs with D* is always an adventure, for instance: HR34.

    ok, thank you everyone , after another hour and a half on the phone i finally got a manager who straighted it out, they billed my credit card and then gave me a credit on my DTV acct. which is one thing i tried to do in the beginning. Have a install tomorrow afternoon. they need to be trained on how to enter the order right.
