Something you can try. Run 45201 (Cincinnati OH) as a secondary zip. Cinn. has a 48.1 PBS channel that should give you Lubbock's 48.1 with the guide for Cinn 48.1 PBS channel. But, Cinn. runs METV on 5.2 and I noticed Lubbock has a 5.2 channel not in D* database. If your antenna picks up Lubbocks 5.2 channel, when you run 45201 you will get 5.2 Lubbock with the METV guide from Cincinnati's 5.2 channel. A round about way, with the guide on the wrong channel. But it at least puts the METV guide in your DVR.

I just setup and have the same thing. No WALA option for Fox 10-1 in Mobile Alabama.

WALA is in the database. It broadcasts on VHF channel 9, so make sure the antenna you're using is a combo UHF/VHF model since many antennas that were marketed as "HDTV" during the transition are UHF only, despite it being known since the mid 00s that nearly every market will have at least one station returning to the VHF band post transition.

Orlando,Melbuorne and Daytona markets show channel 31-2 as WRDQDT2 (AntennaTV) which is incorrect,27-2 is the proper listing.

31-2 does not even show in Directv database but it shows up in the guide when running the ota channel search.

When clicking on said channel it is really Telemundo.

Directv needs to remove 31-2 from the search and make it 27-3 Telemundo.

I mentioned this on various other threads but never came around to mentioning it here.

By running Greensboro NC or Davenport IA as a secondary zip code, you will receive 8.2 ANTENNATV in Cleveland with the correct guide. All those other stations are also available in Cleveland, by running secondary zip codes. The guide info will be wrong, but you can still view the channel. Run Philadelphia as a secondary zip to get 61.3 and 61.4.

Just moved to Waco and got DirecTV. The CW station is Washington DC feed and it's in SD. I know there is a local CW station. Normally I wouldn't care but with the Fall TV season starting I watch quite a few shows on the CW.

For some reason D* gives you the national feed of CW and not your local 10.2. The only way to get your local 10.2 is with an OTA antenna and an AM21. That is if the local CW broadcasts in HD, which I don't know if they do or not.

It is HD, however the station converts it to 720p with 2.0 sound instead of the 1080i with 5.1 sound used by the network. One of the drawbacks to living in a market with less stations than there are networks.

Also the post quoted is from 2008 when they were still updating the database, so it's available with the AM21.

Got my AM21 setup, connected to Amazon Basics slimline antenna. Was able to pick up just about all the stations I should, according to antennaweb and other websites.
Didn't pick up KCEN-DT4 6.4, or KCEN-DT5 6.5 but picked up 6.1-6.3; KWTX DT2 10.2 is choppy sometimes; and didn't pick up either of the KWKT stations (44.1&44.2).

My main question is: is this a D* and AM21 issue, atenna issue, or just where I am located. I haven't tried it on my TV to see what that picks up yet. Anyone in Waco area getting all these station or having issues like me?

Try using TVFool.com to get a better prediction, Antenna Web is horrible with their predictions.

Several of your stations are in the VHF band which could be a problem with that antenna, unfortunately way too many antennas including this one that market themselves as "HDTV Antennas" are optimized for UHF reception while VHF reception gets weaker the lower the channel number.

First, 10.2, 44.1, 44.2 channels are in D* database for Waco. If your antenna is receiving them, your AM21 will pick them up. So those channels would be an antenna issue. 6.4 and 6.5 are not in the database for Waco. I checked, and the only way to pick them up is by running a secondary zip code. There is only one zip to run, Minneapolis MN (55401) will give you 6.4 and 6.5 in Waco. Mpls carries a .4 RF9 and a .5 RF9 in D* database. This will match your 6.4 RF9 and 6.5 RF9 in Waco. You will have the guide for the Mpls channels, but you will be able to view the channels. You do this by re-running the initial setup on the AM21 with your Waco zip as your primary zip and run 55401 as your secondary zip.

I live in Orlando but had my 8 bay pointed towards Tampa. I was still getting most of the Orlando stations from the backside of the antenna, but when ever I would record something from 27-2 (Antenna TV) from Orlando, it would lose signal and the recording would be incomplete, since the antenna was pointing the wrong way.

I went out side and re-aimed my antenna to Orlando, did a off air antenna reset on my AM-21 to get a fresh list and now 27-2 is not in the guide. The funny part is it is in the channel list in set-up when you 'edit off-air channel' with the correct station id. Also my tv tuner picks it up no problem.

It is in the zap2it guide that provides the guide data to DTV.
I am showing all channels so it is not a 'not in my favorites list' issue.
The primary 27-1 channel is in the guide.

Why would it be in the edit off air channel list but not show in the guide?

Why was it in the guide before I re-aimed my antenna and now it is gone?

    Its a strange issue.

Just wanted to see if by any chance there were any other Austin, Tx users seeing the same issue as me. I have an HR44 and the AM21. I can't seem to get 7-2 to show in the guide at all even after re-running antenna setup. My antenna picks up 7-1 just fine. Thanks for any ideas.

Directv stopped adding new subchannels to the guide over a year ago. A workaround is to add a market that has a 7-2 channel to your guide; the programming won't be correct, but you will at least be able to tune the channel. You can try the Odessa-Midland market's KOSA channel(79705) for this purpose...

Run Detroit MI (48201) as a secondary zip on your AM21. Since Detroit carries MOVIES on channel 2.2 RF7, it will give you 7.2 RF7 in Austin TX with the correct guide for that channel. Since the RF channel number matches (.2 RF7) your Austin station, the AM21 will pick it up. Running the Odessa-Midland zip, will also give you the channel, but it will have the wrong guide info. The Detroit zip is the only zip to run to get the correct guide for the channel.
