Rerun the setup until the guides show up. I'm in the MSP DMA and usually have to rerun the setup until both appear. Then I just keep the ones I need in a "favorite channel" setup. Sometimes the KMSP/WFTC guides show up and other times the KAWE guides show up. I usually just keep running the setup, until both show up. No rhyme or reason as to why it does what it does in picking up these channels. I worked with this for 6 years and I can always get the KMSP/WFTC guides by running the setup over until they appear.

I’m on my fifth time running the setup, and now it’s listing KAWE on all 9-x channels. Unbelievable. Trying a different zip code in the market...

I run 55344 (Eden Prairie) even though that's not my home area zip code, KMSP is based in Eden Prairie and that seems to work the best for this issue. Are you using an AM21 or LCC and what DVR are you hooked to. With the HR44/54 now scanning it seems to go right away to KMSP/WFTC on my system (HR44/AM21), when a reboot occurs. But my HR24/AM21 is a crapshoot as to what appears, But I'm always able to get KMSP/WFTC if I finagle long enough.

Another thing I just thought of is. What is your antenna receiving? The stations and their RF channels from the Twin Cities, or TRANSLATOR stations and their RF channels from the Willmar AREA. This could have a huge effect on what the system does. The Twin Cities channels are KMSP 9 RF9 and WFTC 29 RF29 and the Willmar translator stations are KMSP 9 RF36 and WFTC 29 RF30. So that's a big difference.

I am receiving the translator stations (way to far to get straight from KMSP). I used 55125 (Woodbury/St. Paul) and it worked kinda okay: 9-1 & 9-2 were listed as KAWE, but 9-3 was finally properly the Movies! channel, which was what I was wanting.

To answer your other questions, an LCC into an HR54.

    Thanks for your help!

Now that all markets seem to be updated or at least close. Can someone please take 2 seconds and fix the stupid CBS logo.

No one here can do that - this site is not officially monitored by DIRECTV. Maybe send them an email, or post this in their official forums?

I was thinking about using a secondary zip to get listings for Heroes & Icons and StartTV which was just recently added as subchannels to my CW station (30.2 H&I / 30.3 StartTV) but after looking at H&I list of affiliates it seems my CW affiliate is the first station to place it at 30.2 meanwhile I found WLMTDT3 from Memphis TN has StartTV on 30.3. I'm hoping that after the Phase 6 repack is finished and they update the database with the new RF# they will add the new subchannels to the database for WQCW.

We in the San Francisco Bay area is expecting a new OTA channel tomorrow. Channel 5.3 is a new CBS Lifestyle channel called DABL premiering September 9th. (I have no idea what DABL stands for.) See DABL | A New Lifestyle Network for more information. Check the webpage for channel location information. Love my LCC.

    Lancaster,...
KYW also added DABL as 3.3 recently but it's not in the guide.

I can’t win with these channel logos
First the OTA CBS logo has been showing Video Rola for years and now my FSD+ logo says Cheddar Business SMH

The Cheddar logo has been mysteriously there for a while. No idea how or why. No one at Directv will care.

The current phase in the midwest is ending on Friday. Fortunately my market has decided to have one rescan day - Friday at 2am. There are 97 stations in the current phase, 25 in the "linked station set" that includes my market. Seven of the nine channels active in my market will be changing frequencies. Hopefully DIRECTV will be able to send out new tables on Friday for their tuners to find the repacked channels.

(Fortunately none of the stations in my market will be sharing a frequency channel. That can really break the guide.)

Several of our networks IE cozitv and metv had moved to another sub-channels. However, the tv guide shows these as regular. I wish whoever maintain the database be more current?

4.3 in Minneapolis (DABL) still has no guide data, and 9.6 has just gone live in MPLS but for some reason (even after multiple times redoing OTA setup, with various zip codes to “trick it”) shows as KAWEDT 9.6, not KMSPDT 9.6.

Neither channel is in the database. DABL 4.3 has to be added, for any guide data to be available. And 9.6 KAWE has been in the database for a long time, thus it will show that guide. KMSP 9.6 has to be added, for the guide to be correct.

I live between Chicago and Rockford and get the Rockford locals via OTA with a LCC connected to my HR54. Everything has been working great except for the fact that the Guide lists "Regular Schedule" on channel 23-1 which is the local CBS channel. I understand that some of the other sub channels 23-2 and 23-3 might not be updated in the Directv database, but it seems odd to me that the CBS channel 23-1 would not be in the database? Is there somewhere I can research more into this? Thanks in advance for your help!
