I wish that either DISH or my Local station WKBN would have enough initiative to solve this problem. Its been over 2 months with numerous phone calls to DISH, and naturally they promise to fix it. How about all the programs that are listed in the EPG as NEW that are reruns.

That is why I finally game up and since I had a inexpensive Fire Stick, I bought a ReCast. The guide is accurate on all of our 16 OTA translators going out 2 weeks, and it is dual tuner with a built in 500GB HDD and I can add an outboard one if I want. I fought with Dish for a couple of years and finally gave up. The Dish guide itself seems to be accurate, but the OTA part isn't except on a few diginets. I don't think an accurate OTA guide is that important to them.

My OTA guide is still messed up with no correct info on any of the major networks. Only the diginet info is correct. Come April 20th, the Portland locals will be making a huge switch-a-roo, stacking other stations on to their own channels. The guide will really be messed up I am sure. The good thing out here on the coast we will go from 16 OTA to 25!. I am glad I have the Fire TV Recast.

That’s a problem that is going to get worse as time goes on and more stations share channels in preparation for ATSC 3.0.

Now the Portland stations will be stacking on April 20th, so the guide will even be worse. The Recast gets the guide from a different source and so far it is accurate.
