Thank you for sharing! Please note that this document is dated April 2008, and includes the SWM5, which is not going to be in mainstream production, as well as the SWM8, which is. In addition, some of the information is dated. Of particular note: "OTA channels cannot be diplexed down the SWM cable 8 channel - it has a built-in diplexer on the Module for use on the Legacy output ports only." (pg 19). On that same page "8 channel has a built-in diplexer on the Module for use on the Legacy output ports only" is incorrect - and was changed in the more current documentation. The first statement IS correct, as a separate diplexer is not needed with the SWM8 to add in OTA signals within the Single Wire SWM1 or SWM2 outputs - the diplexer is built into the SWM8 itself. In other words, an input of OTA into the SWM will provide the means for a merged OTA signal when needed - a combiner at the HD DVR end will still be needed. That said, the SWM8 OTA can also be by-passed using a diplexer mixed with the SWM1 or SWM2 port line input with an OTA feed into a single output from the Diplexer. The only install pictoral that even remotely references OTA at all is on page 28...and that is for the SWM Dish install along with a concurrent OTA HD antenna setup - nothing with the SWM.
