I'm trying to combine my OTA antenna signal and the output of one of my 2 722's TV2 Output on one piece of cable in the wall.

Everything works except that my OTA signal on one of my 722's is now zero. I'm only using splitters which may be the problem. Prior to trying to hook up my 2nd 722's TV2 Output my OTA signal was fine on both TV's using a splitter.

Here's a diagram of my setup. Can this be done or will I require the use of a diplexer, if so, where would it go?

    TIA:

Diplexers are for combining two SEPARATE ranges of frequencies into a single cable and then separating them back out again.

OTA and the TV2 outputs use the same frequency range, and are conflicting with each other. Also, you are effectively broadcasting your TV2 output in your neighborhood via your OTA antenna.

You need to keep your OTA signals separate; in other words, you need to run additional cable lines.

Thanks IIP, I came to that conclusion and ran a separate cable, wasn't as big as a PITA as I thought I was avoiding using the splitters. All's good now: 95%+ OTA signal on both 722's (with a dedicated cable run for the antenna) and good TV2 signal on both TV's.

    Thanks again.

Not true provided the TV2 output channel frequency is not conflicting with an OTA channel, and it's usually possible to select a TV2 output channel that is not used by any OTA station. I am running an OTA signal and the TV2 output over 1 cable with no problem.

Same here... and I used another TV in my spare bedroom to test, it's very near the antenna in the attic but it doesn't pick up the TV2 channel at all. I have no worries that someone else is picking up my TV2 output.
