How to add over the air antenna to a Dish VIP722
You'll need to install an MT2 module and connect an OTA antenna to it.
DISH MT2 TV Antenna Integration Module (ES162303) from Solid Signal
(may not be the best price)
ViP722 has a single antenna input in the back, just connect an antenna.
ViP722K needs an MT2 dual tuner module as described above.
Can I install a diplexer at ota on one side dish antenna on other run both signals on one cable. Put another diplexer at receiver to pull signals off so I don't have to run another cable into house
Good catch, Jim. I forgot about the 722/722K difference...
I have 722k, have a module on the way from ebay.
Will a diplexer work? One outside at antenna another inside, so I don't have to run another cable
Yes it will work. I did it back in the day I had 722vip receiver. Just remember though, if you upgrade to a Hopper system, you can not run OTA signals on same cable as sat signals. The Hopper uses MOCA to communicate with Joeys and uses same frequency band as OTA TV signals.
Going to try will let you know thank you for responding
OK. I give
What is MOCA?
