She's placing all the blame on DTV.

You need to fix the URL link as the ........this is not part of the URL and it takes you to a page not found

She really did not answer why the Pac12 network was not providing as much revenue to the schools as the Big 10 and SEC networks were returning to their schools. Instead, she talked about total revenue. That was not the question, nor was any revenue beyond what the network provides within her control.

Is there an actual source cited for that claim or was it some random bogus anonymous edit?

It is an unsourced anonymous edit, from an IP address that has never before edited Wikipedia. Clearly bogus.

Was in Costco yesterday; and as usual, was approached by a DTV salesperson.......my standard response is "Already have DTV.....tell them to get P12N!" Usually they just smile and indicate that's doubtful. Yesterday the guy replied........"they're working on it!"; to which I answered...."they lie alot, too!". Now this pops up..........really don't want to get my hopes up because Larry Scott stirs the pot every year about this time..........then BOOM....it's a no go!!! Plus, all the press lately, indicate it'll never happen.

No way some salesguy at Costco knows something like that before we would have heard about it here. They aren't getting any insider info.

I've been waiting for DirecTV/Pac-12 to make a deal for all these years. Now, I'm ready to switch to Comcast so I can get Pac12 Nets and CSN-NW. Comcast has upped their game DirecTV has been flat. besides those two channels the two providers have pretty much the same channels (we watch) in HD.

You better have a good source (NOT Wikipedia). False reports of Pac-12's launch are common.

The only source of the Pac 12 rumor is a vandal edit to wikipedia's article. Remember anyone can edit any article on wikipedia and most articles on non-political stuff are not monitored by any one and false information can languish without removal on more obscure articles for months.

I tagged the article as "citation needed" and no one has provided one, which means it is 100% false.

If there was a signed deal for Pac 12 and Directv it would have been in the news, considering how much news the times they failed to reach an agreement generated. Pac 12 wouldn't just put a crawl, they'd issue a press release and it would make the papers in Pac 12 country.

Probably someone just inserted the crawl onto the channel pear stream themselves. I highly doubt it came from Pac 12 Network itself.

Agree. This would be significant news covered in the sports media sites (awfulannouncing, the 506, mattsarz), the general sports sites, especially in the west, and by business sites covering AT&T stock.

Why would P12N announce it was going to be on some new system via a crawl which, by defination, no one with DirecTV could see? That is like making gate announcements for the airport at the train station.

I see people are dismissive of Wikipedia and the on-screen crawl. But someone else here also also cited a DirecTV representative at Costco.
