Reps at Costco or less informed than any other dtv rep in general. Wikipedia is well, Wikipedia.

The scroll is interesting. I can stream the channel legally so I’ll have to pull it up and see if I see it.

I could see them finally getting carriage but not advertising n purpose until all the i’ where dotted and someone jumped the gun on a crawl too. Of course that would mean there isn’t an actual final agreement yet....

Will you reach an agreement with DirecTV?
    support.pac-12.com - May 14, 2017

"We completely understand and share your frustration. We are aggressively pursuing an agreement with DirecTV. But unfortunately, DIRECTV subscribers are facing a season without access to 35 Pac-12 football games and all of our other great content. It is disappointing that DIRECTV won’t deliver the content customers clearly want but ultimately that is a decision they need to make. We encourage you as a DIRECTV subscriber to contact them and echo our calls to have the network added to their systems."

Will there ever be a day when DirecTV picks up Pac-12 Networks?
    awfulannouncing.com - 06/28/2017

"It’s been an annual question since the Pac-12 Networks launched in 2012 and the answer has always been no. Back in 2015, there was brief hope with an actual signal test which some sharp-eyed DirecTV viewers saw, but it never got farther than that. Talks between the Pac-12 and DirecTV collapsed following that signal test and since then, the two sides appear no closer to an agreement than when the networks began."

"Unless there’s a last-second breakthrough, this dispute will go into its sixth season and viewers will again be left in the middle."

I have legal access to Pac-12 networks as well. I watched off and on yesterday evening and did not see a mention of DIRECTV carriage in the scrolls. However remote the possibility, Pac-12 Conference media days for the upcoming football season are late next week, so it is within the realm of possibility the announcement could be a big deal and headline the Pac-12 Network segment of the Pac-12 media days. Highly doubtful, but possible.

A secret that big would be hard to keep. We certainly would have a better source than an anonymous Wikipedia edit from a new IP or a random scroll. (Was it the normal style scroll or some special overlay?)

I would not be the least bit surprised to see one of the bloggers like Swanni write something about Pac 12 coming to Directv on 8/1, sourced to Wikipedia or "posts in online forums" (i.e. here)

References to Directv beginning PAC-12 on August 1 appear to have been removed from Wikipedia.

Looks like it was removed by someone who has been editing Wikipedia since 2004 and has hundreds of contributions, so presumably he knows what he's doing and cleans up unattributed claims. If the person who added it had only supplied proper attribution that wouldn't have been necessary.

After reading the latest "rumors" here about a potential agreement, I wrote to the reporter who has been covering this issue non-stop since Pac12 Networks launched, Jon Wilner of The Mercury News in San Jose.

Below is his reply to my question about those rumors:

"have heard nothing, which doesn't rule anything out, of course. but usually, these type of agreements get finalized in the last 1-2 weeks before the season begins"

Pac-12 Networks' revenue dwarfed by SEC, Big Ten counterparts

Not sure if this will be good news but The Pac 12 announced today a new president for their network(s), he has in the past worked with DirecTV Sports Networks....but was last with TWC and worked on the Dodgers channel...so who knows.

Can't hurt I suppose but doubt if it leads to anything anytime soon.

I agree, I would think his #1 goal would be to work out the deal with ATT/DirecTV, the league can't keep falling behind the other major conferences in dollars brought in to the athletic depts. The original deal with Dish happened over a night it seems so maybe there is some hope.

Just like clockwork.........a few weeks before the start of College Football, and P12N (Larry Scott & Co.) stirs the pot with hopes of striking a deal with Directv. When the past president was named, she apparently had experience of getting deals done....look where that ended up! This seems like a repeat of 2015 when it was reported DTV started to test satellites...........then BOOM.....NO DEAL!!! It's hard to be optimistic due to past history and certainly won't hold my breathe....with that said....would love to be surprised!

I'm sure Directv's position hasn't changed, so unless this new guy is willing to sweeten the pot by cutting the price or giving them something else of value, I doubt much will change.

The one thing he might bring to the table from his experience at Directv is knowing what "something else of value" they might want, so there's perhaps a tiny bit of room for optimism for Pac 12 fans, but he doesn't have much time to make a deal with the season only a couple weeks off.

Pac-12 Networks names Mark Shuken as new President

Read the announcement issued through Pac 12, apparently he is not scheduled to officially take the reins until September 6.....College Football is starting with Oregon State playing on Saturday, August 26. (That game is scheduled for CBS Sports Network and Utah and ASU scheduled for Thursday, August 31, on P12N)
