Sounds like it was a Pandora issue. Not ATT

I've been working with Pandora tech support for the last three weeks or so on this issue via a series of emails trying to clarify the problem. Yesterday, received the email which stated,
    "
    Hello,

We wanted to follow up with you regarding the issue you recently had with your Pandora listening experience. Our engineers have been working diligently, and we believe the problem has now been resolved.

Please try again and let us know if you continue to encounter trouble.

We apologize for any inconvenience and greatly appreciate your patience. Thanks for listening!

    The Pandora User Support Team"

Immediately tried and Pandora was working.

So yeah, It was probably a Pandora problem

DirecTV equipment is perfect! The biggest issue is dead batteries in your remote! :p

Many years ago, when I still had my HR24, I ran into an issue. I use the guide and do manual searches and stuff, and the box would only find stuff 1 - 2 days out even though the guide was populated 2 weeks. Through research, I found that if it was connected to the internet, it didn't search locally, but did a cloud search and the issue was on DirecTVs cloud search servers.

So I call them up. Obviously tech support has no clue what I'm talking about. I ask to go to level 2, to speak to a manager, etc. Nobody knows anything about searching. So I ask to speak to the engineering department. They tell me to gtfo, you can't speak to them. But they'd open an engineering ticket. As an engineer I dictated what the guy should write on the ticket cuz I speak engineer. 2 days later, it came back as closed / can't reproduce. Called back probably 5 times over the next few weeks. They offered me truck rolls, new boxes, etc. which I rejected cuz it was obvious what the issue was... "uh... do an iisreset on the server idiot" lol. I finally escalated to some obscure department that deals with unresolved issues. I worked with the mgr and his minion and they reproduced the issue in house. I thought cool, its gonna get fixed. After weeks of it still not fixed, I called back and there was no way to reach that mgr or his minion or find out anything about the ticket. At that point, I just black holed the gateway DNS to kick it off the internet while leaving it on the network. Since apparently, Linksys routers can't block devices running on another bridged router lol. I opened a ticket with Linksys on that and of course that never went anywhere either since Linksys tends to stop supporting expensive routers as soon as they release them :(.

Hulu had an outage a few weeks back. within 15 min the page is lit up with how much my ISP sucks because they cant access Hulu, its a conspiracy by the cable company.. blah blah.. Someone finally jumps in with its Hulu... Crickets

Wait, aren't the cable companies conspiring to put satellite and movie theaters and blockbuster out of business? They secretly invented streaming in this top secret lab in China and it leaked out by accident.

Agreed, but it still triggered some troubleshooting, and process of elimination since my HR54 played fine in my network/sat system setup.
