    That is just crazy.
Didn't get a chance yet to watch the episodes that did air.

But what ever happend to letting a show adjust and get some sort of traction.

You wonder how many really good shows, where never given the chance to become that because of the quick hooks.

I watched 'em both. Figured the show wasn't long for this world... but after 2 episodes? :scratchin I've seen FOX deep six a show or two quickly, but NBC??? It's like something Jack Donaghy would do on 30 Rock!

I watched the first show and about 10 minutes of the 2nd show and was not really impressed. Of course what I think is funny may not be funny for someone else and vice-versa.

After the 2nd episode, I deleted the series link.

Heck there have been shows that took seasons to get their groove.

True. Several people at work don't see the humor in Big Bang Theory, but I find it hilarious. Maybe because even though we are an IT department, I'm one of the few geeks.

Just watching the commercials I figured it was going to be DOA. When you have the star of the show commenting that the only thing people will remember is that (stuff about the office) and not his show, that just doesn't inspire confidence.

    Oh well.

Most of the critics have been saying that is wasn't very good... And that was before it even aired...

In my opinion, that is one of the biggest problems that has happen to tv. These critics destroy a tv show, before the public can get a true unbiased opinion of it. Then bad ratings on week one... Gone in week two.

I rarely agree with the critics.

    Haven't seen this show though.

It might have gotten some traction on a cable channel, but they would have had to do it very low budget initially. But we just didn't get care for it, which surprised me.

I knew this was going to happen about 15 minutes into episode one. At that point I was already done and killed the recording and my Series Link.

It's nothing but a poorly done watered down Curb Your Enthusiasm, and it sucked.

Considering the sizable investment in promoting and launching a new show...it is disappointing to see one get "unplugged" so fast.

The only explanation I can think of is that ratings were so bad that they decided to stop the bleeding fast.

    No surprise here.

Recorded and watched the first episode. Recorded the second and have not been sufficiently interested to watch it.

I watched the first episode and it was horrible. The self-deprecating humor he kept using got old, quick. If a no name pitched the show and didn't have a B list celebrity as the lead it never would have seen the light of day. I think Reiser is a bad actor, anyway.

I concur. Had to watch it last week in my hotel room, because there was really nothing else on. Should have read a book.

I think this show had a ton of potential and was nowhere near as bad as the first couple of episodes of Seinfeld (to give just one example.) With time it would have matured, probably with some refocussing and recasting. Does NBC really have anything else in the pipeline that's so much better?

I honestly think it's a case of life imitating art. If you're a fan of 30 Rock, you'll know what I mean when I say the bean counters at "Kabletown" are probably now calling the shots.

I thought Seinfeld was horrible at first & I didn't watch it for a few seasons because of that. Then, I finally "got it" & it's, IMO, the best comedy show I ever watched. I bet NBC is glad they didn't treat Seinfeld like they did here.
