I just had an HR44 with two C41s installed. All seems to be working well except for "pause" on one C41.

Pressing "pause" shows the "pause" symbol on the screen, but the video keeps on playing. Pressing "pause" again causes the "pause" symbol to be replaced with the "play" symbol. The video will only stop once every ten or more presses of the "pause" button and it's likely to "pause" minutes after the button is pushed. The C41 blue light flashes whenever the "pause/play" button is pushed.

Anyone have any ideas as to what my problem might be?

I didn't realize the C41 had a reset button. Thanks for the tip. It worked.

Actually you never want to do a red button reset on any equipment unless it won't respond to any remote commands all.

What you want To do to rest the equipment is a menu reset. Hit
Menu > settings > reset > restart receiver.

It's different than just hitting the red button.

But yeah I'd reset the clients and the genie to see if that solves the issue.

I'm thinking that for a client (or any receiver without a HD) it doesn't really matter whether you do an RBR or menu reset because there's no hard drive to interrupt.

Actually, the red button (or pulling power) is the ONLY way to reset a C41.

I have a menu reset on my client.

Yeah, I have wondered about the too, but someone in the know just informed me it doesn't matter on genies like it did on other receivers in the past. Go figure...
