this channel does not belong in this area. PERIOD.. I have no problem with the channel. and no problem that some one wants to watch this channel.. but when I scroll down, Playboy and the HALLMARK CHANNEL and the Smithsonian channel are all basically on the same screen.. THAT'S COMPLETELY WRONG.. why should my guests, or my grandkids or some one who comes to my house have to see this? and NO I shouldn't have to change programming.. I haven't had to change programming for over 12 years.. I shouldn't have to DO IT NOW.. No way.. this is completely and utterly wrong, Wrong, WRONG.. and there is no tap dancing around it.. NONE WHAT SO EVER.. its in a WRONG PLACE and there is NO DEFENDING IT..

You're too lazy to edit channels?

no.. I shouldn't have to.. I haven't had to for over 12 years.. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO START NOW? there is only one reason why this channel is where it is.. MONEY AND GREED.. and if it was a main stream channel , no one else would be objecting. .. Oh and I called D* tonight.. and voiced my opinion.. and ASKED FOR NOTHING.. but guess what, the phone has been ringing OFF THE WALL THERE.. the CSR that I spoke to told me that she had only been to work a few hours, and had to "deal with this situation" numerous times.. she wouldn't tell me how many.. but it doesn't sound like one or two.. I am not alone in this opinion , nor am I wrong in this opinion..

So, you didn't care for 12 years when it was at a different number, but now you do? All the other porn channels are fine for you and others to scroll by? Opinions can't be wrong huh? Interesting. I think your opinion is stupid, but I'm right according to your logic.

I like to use "All Channels". I've never liked the favorites lists...or blocking channels.

:icon_band "It's the Same Old Song" :icon_band ......A couple of months ago DirecTV added the Adults Only icon to the Search & Browse menu. For weeks a "handful" of people moaned and groaned over it as if they were spending endless hours staring at the icon and stating they don't like it and they don't want it. When told they could hide the icon by using Parental Controls they all used the same lame excuse, I don't like using Parental Controls or I don't want to use Parental Controls. Yet in spite of all their complaining the icon remains in the Search & Browse menu. Why? Because SEX SELLS!!! Now we have another "handful" of people complaining about the new location of Playboy in the Guide. They too are singing the same old song. I don't like it there and I don't want it there. And when told they can hide it by using Favorite Channels or Parental Controls they use the same lame excuses. I don't like using Favorite Channels or I don't like using Parental Controls. As I have stated on another thread I'm not a fan of homosexuality. There is a channel in the Guide. It's called Logo, channel 272. It caters to gay and lesbian viewers. While I don't care for a channel like that I didn't get into a tizzy over it. I simply "ignore" it. I fail to see why certain people can't do the same with Playboy.

It IS a PPV channel. You can subscribe to it OR just pay for one show/movie.

    Agreed 1000000%!

There are a number of channels I don't like but I don't waste my time complaining about them or trying to force my beliefs on anyone else. I just remove them from my channel list and move on.

Oh ok I thought they were changing formats to like an HBO like thing where it was only a monthly add on.

I remember back in the 90's on cable you could order a "night of spice" for a fee. One of the PPV channels on our local cable system flipped to the spice channel like 9 pm to 6 am or something like that. A bunch of us young adolescent boys would try to watch it through the "squiggly lines" and when there was a bright scene you could see some T&A. Audio was always intact. Exciting times growing up! We all swore when we grew up we would order it. Then the Internet scene exploded and no one I know ever ordered Adult PPV channel (or will admit to it). Too much free stuff (and even paid variety) online for those who are interested.

I do remember some of the adult VHS tapes had huge obnoxious boxes. Once in awhile as a young teen someone would have one of those or steal a magazine, or download 256 color gif's to a floppy disk from AOL.

How are you forced to watch something just based on its channel number?

Then exercise your choice to edit channels. Every channel number is forced on everyone. Do you throw a fit with every channel location forced on you?

You do know Parental Control block out titles of Boardwalk Empire when you select it. Until it can tell the difference between pornography and drama, it is really useless.

    Get Over It!
There are only 3 PB channels in the 560's: Englais Uno & Dos and Espanol Uno...

    What about my predicament!

Next to CH287 MILITARY, there are a dozen or so kids' channels, starting with CH289 Disney Junior for the 2-7 year old demographic!
What if me and my survivalist buddies are watching a "tree slugging" film about the use of Agent Orange on a South East Asian jungle... and a buddy accidentally drops an ammo clip on the remote "Channel Up" button...and then we are mercilessly subjected to seeing children playing in a suburban park?
The sight of Sesame Street characters (Charlies... we call 'em) could trigger our PTSD flashbacks!

I shouldn't have to edit or delete any favorite channel list!
Group those kids shows around channel 666-1, 666-2, ... 666-6 where they belong!

Oh well. There's still the option of using Favorite Channels or simply "ignoring" the channel's location in the Guide.
