I had the same problem. I unplugged the client for 3 minutes and plugged it back in. Bye-bye pink.

    Issue has been resolved......sort of.

This morning I tried some more trouble-shooting.

Unplugged client for a while (5 mins) - No effect or change.
Swapped out HDMI cable - No effect or change.
Bypassed receiver and plugged HDMI directly into TV - Colors returned to normal. Issue appears to be with receiver (Marantz SR7010).
Returned to original cabling and messed with different HDMI/color/resolution setting in receiver - Still getting pink hue.
Plugged HDMI cable from client into different HDMI Input - Color returned to normal. Issue appears to be with HDMI Input 1.

So....I've left it plugged into a different HDMI input and redid the effected activities on my Harmony remote. All is working now.

Question that remains......what could the firmware update possibly have done that would render HDMI 1 input incompatible? It was working fine prior to the update. Hmmmm?

Because you are dealing with an c61k, lots of things beyond even the normal clients. I believe they have updated all the handshaking going in in this new software to fix some bugs that peopel had been reporting. Is every input on the av receiver fully 4K compliant with Hdco 2.2 and hdmi 2.0?

I am now having having handshake issues with the c61k since the software update.
Black screen when changing channels. Sometimes it takes several seconds to appear, other times I have to change the channel and back to get a picture.

Because not every unit does and sometimes that is what causes these issues if it’s plugged into the wrong port.

Yes, but I’ve already indicated that it was working previously prior to the update. If it was plugged into the wrong port...that wouldn’t have been the case.

I searched the web and found this forum, as I am having the exact same issue with DirecTv's recent update and my SR7010. It's most definitely the HDMI upscaling from the Marantz that is causing the issue. I even had DirecTv come out and replace the 4k box. All was fine until the update downloaded - and it went pink/purple while he was standing there. This matters a lot to me, because the upscaling from the Marantz is significantly better than the internal upscaler on my previous Sony 930D and my current LG OLED. Believe me, it is far superior. So, I am now using a regular HD box while the 4k box is rendered as worthless attached to a 1080p TV in my bedroom.

I got 0xb87 on 12/9 Thurday. Has one problem. When the remote turns on the receiver and tv, once the tv comes up it says searching for signal. It's an HR22/100 receiver and a 6 year old Samsung TV. In order to get a picture, I have to use the middle power button on the big remore to power off the receiver and then turn it back on while the TV is stillon. It is using an HDMI connection and the TV doesn't activate as fast and new ones, so the receiver times out the HDMI port waiting for a handshake. Now the new, improved software has made my tv experience a nuisance to get started.

Same issue here. I have a Denon AVR-X7200W. Right after the C61k update, pink screen on all channels except 104 (4K).104 has perfect picture. I even tried another C61k, yielding the same results. I found a workaround, turn the i/P scaler off on the Denon. So no more upscaling through my Denon which is very good, better than the TV's. Spent 1.5 hrs with Directv's higher tech support. They said Denon receiver is the culprit. Another 45 mins with Denon tech support. They already had customers calls complaining about ths issue RIGHT AFTER Directv's update. Go figure.

After two months now, I’m still seeing this issue and using your workaround (Thanks!). Has anyone seen the issue resolved yet?
