Just today when attempting to change channels, I get a banner at the bottom of the screen - that says "Please Wait". Is this happening to anyone else? Or any ideas on how to get rid of it?

It still goes to the channel desired; it just gives this annoying banner.

    Thanks.

Many weeks ago I had that problem for a few hours one evening. I asked the same question here and by the time some people posted ideas it went away, never to be seen again.

    More info please.

New install, SD and/or HD channels, If HD...Mpeg2 or Mpeg4, OTA, any multi switches, is it happening on more than one receiver?

    Dripping...
I've posted this problem in a couple of the CE issue threads. Doesn't matter what type of channel, did it on all of them. Cleared with a reboot.

I have an HR20; I have had it for a few months. About a month ago, I finally got the 5 LNB install, but it has never done it until tonight. It is very odd and just a little annoying.

    Reboot? Do you mean RBR?

Also, it does it when all channels are changed.

    Thanks for the help.

Correct. You can restart the DVR from the Setup Menu, or press the red button behind the front panel access card door.

Which is not recommended any longer (red button reset behind the front panel access card door). Whenever possible, a reset should be done via:

    Menu > Help & Settings > Setup > Reset > Reset Recorder

(Just a reminder, as we all used to do RBR at the drop of a hat, and now that particular method is to be avoided)
