Hi all. All of the sudden today transponder #8 on 99c (Foxnews) went to zero. Neighbors are having no problem. Is it possible something went wrong in my dish that impacted a single transponder signal? I have an old 5LNB AT9. Note that the issue is on both of my receivers. Thanks and cheers!

Is that the only TP that dropped? Probably you lost all of the even transponders, at least on that satellite.

Check coax and connections to your dish everyplace there is a connector (e.g., LNB, ground block, receiver, etc.). Moisture or corrosion at a connector can cause this symptom. If wiring is good, then it is most likely the dish/LNB itself.

He specifically indicated Fox News on that transponder/satellite, which is a CONUS feed.

Here is a list of what should be on that transponder. Can you check to see if you are getting any of the other channels?

his indication could be incorrect assumption, that's why I propose to him check it by system tables (what you did already)

Well, after being away from home for the afternoon I've returned to a 91 signal on 99c trans 8. So, of course, FoxNews is back. I have no explanation as to why that signal dropped to zero and presented a 771. Especially considering neighbors were fine. Weird.

if you'll see it again, make it hard to convince CSR you'll need to replace LNBF block

Well, my problem just went from being an annoyance to nuclear. I've now lost all signals, on all satellites, with the exception of 101. Service call on Monday.
