As I said, it's amusing as many of Dave's Top Ten. Some are funny, some are stupid. Which is which depends on your sense of humor.

Jeez people, lighten up. It's just TV. If you don't want to watch, don't watch.

Because of the nature of this thread it will be closed but I had to laugh. So true. I stopped watching him along time ago but still a reason not to watch.

I wonder if Conan will return to a bit he did occasionally back on "Late Night," whenever there was reason to think their ratings would be lower than usual (e.g., NBA finals on ABC), something along the lines of "stuff we can do because there's nobody watching tonight"...it would be a compilation of bizarre characters and/or comedy sketches, obviously leftover items from the show's writers' notebooks.

There's no reason to stay up past the local news anymore... I don't watch Conan or Letterman. Neither is funny and entertaining.

Dang, it seems like every time I turn on my TV Obama is on. He'll be on all the Sunday morning news shows this weekend (except for Fox's) and then Letterman Monday.

I know its ObamaVision. Thats why i stick with Fox. Other than O'Really during the campaign last year I havent had to see him on my favorite stations anymore. All kidding aside though, its good that he uses popular outlets to reach out to people and show the lighter side. He was a person before he went into politics. Most if not all new generation Presidents are going to have to use internet and alternate outlets to begin to talk to Americans and even the world. I personally dont even read newspapers anymore. Trying to go green for my buddy BO.

This thread is announcing the guest on Letterman's show Monday, and it's rare to have a sitting president on a talk show, so it's somewhat newsworthy and I'm appreciative of the heads-up. Now why have to devolve into a political discussion? If you want to watch, fine, if you don't, don't. But let's not let the conversation go off-topic, please.

Agreed. I too like it when these type of things are announced. Gives you the opportunity to listen to influentional speakers. Lots of times you miss something because they didnt tell you Bill Gates was on and he was going to show everyone how to be a billionaire. Or is he a trillionaire already.

    I agree. That's why I have a DVR.

(And I'm serious -- what first sold me on TiVo was the prospect of being able to record "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" every night without having to go through all the rigamarole that a VCR recording required. Nearly a decade later, I'm still recording Conan on a DVR every weeknight and watching the next day.)
