Okay I am still having the same problem with the press and hold button features with the newest update (0x195). When pressing info for 3 seconds to bring up the info screen or skip to tick and things like that. I have to press it for 3 seconds let the button go and press it again to get it to work.

So I decided to change the HR21 to DirecTV on the remote and my HR20 that I have on the same TV to AV1. Well the HR20 started having the same problem. So it looks like the press and hold button features do not work on AV1 only DirecTV.

Can anyone else confirm this for me? I just want to make sure it is a problem with the software for the HR20/HR21 and not a problem with the remote.

    Thanks

I'm using AV1 on the -100, and I'm fairly certain I've been able to jump to tick and jump to end. I'll check again when I get home.

No, if I'm remembering which machine is which, it works just as my 20s do--hold till the picture jiggles, then release. I'm using the remote (64?) that came with it, not a Harmony.

It is an awful feature, however.

I don't ussually do alot w/ the press and hold features. It's usually the "3 Seconds for info screen" most of the time and I don't have problems. However, I am using an 880 w/ the HR20-700 codes.

I am using the default remote setting and can do the press-hold-wait using the DIRECTV remote. Of course I need to press-hold-press with the Harmony.

I've tried it using IR here and no problems so far.

Maybe you're squeezing too hard and the remote doesn't like that...

I'm with Mr. Shadow on this one, but will test it none the less. I seem to recall it was sporadic here, but didn't think anything of it. brb

No, I am wondering if you have the HR20 set for AV1 and you are using the AV1 code (00003) or do you have it set for DirecTV and using the DirecTV code (00001)?

The problem I am having is when I set my HR20 or HR21 to AV1 and us the 00003 code.
