My programming charges (DHP, AT180. HBO+Skinamax, HD Pak, Voom10) went up $1.01 and I received a coupon. Of course I paid online before I read about how to redeem it. I hope I remember next month.

Maybe they're banking on the idea that we'll assume it is a PPV coupon and we'll just toss it (or forget to redeem it before the end of June). The only thing I find more offensive than PPV coupons is convenience checks from a credit card company.

Agreed. Both are pretty useless to me, especially the PPV coupons since I don't order PPV movies.

I think it's not something we maybe feel entitled to, so much as something were used to. Not that I ever used those coupons either.

In my case, though, I find the "convenience checks" a lot more offensive --- those are just plain stupid.

I got a $10 coupon and mailed it in. I also sent in a 311 receiver for the $25 refund. The tracking number shows they received the receiver on Feb 12, 6. ON Feb 16th, 6, I got the $25 rebate posted to my online account and the $10 coupon posted. Of course, I paid $100 for the receiver, but I kept my 811, which I paid more than $100 for. Deal or No Deal.

Has anyone figured out what the criteria was to get a rebate of a PPV coupon? I have had the AEP for several years and as stated before, didn't get a thing but the price increase.

For the coupons, how long does it take them to mail us a check back or credit on the account? I have been waiting since last Dec.

You mail the coupons in when you pay your bill, and they're credited instantly, i.e. if you have a $3.99 PPV coupon, you mail it in with your check for $3.99 less than you would otherwise pay. Everything is credited instantly; there's nothing which gets mailed back or paid back.
