Setting a first run flag is quite different than what others have suggested, changing the first aired date. A first run flag should be present, I agree.

That's how my Series Link is setup, for "Both", and I haven't missed and episode and have no dupes either.

First Run must be a DirectTV term. I record 'New' without problems.

They need to change the title to this thread. Those with Dish do not have this problem.

Not to mention it's not about Primeval, it's about Primeval: New World, 2 different shows.

    NY Hudson...
I have issue with all BBCA & SyFy that have First Showings outside of the USA. So it is one of my Saturday morning chores to check the next week Series Manager.

Set the Series Links to "Both" and you won't have to.

I started this thread and have dish. So, at least my dish 722k does not see them as new episodes. I had to set it to all episodes. Yes, the 722 is smart enough to only keep one copy when it repeats.

There is some point where it will record it again. I don't know what logic it uses, but I have other timers like that and after a few months it records them again.

I think you need to ask tribune media services about this guide issue

While there are valid arguments on both sides, EP guides lists the original air date as the one from the Canadian airing, so if that is a second authoritative source, they are in agreement. I have to agree, as long as the date is called the "original air date" it should be the Canadian air date. If they change it to the original US air date, then it would make sense to change it.
