My father has been having issues with his Slimline dish lately. He keeps getting messages that say "receiver hasn't downloaded guide information for 'X' hours," etc. When he runs signal tests, there is a big, red "X" in each of the 110 and 119 slots. So, he called DirecTV, they sent a technician, he replaces the LNB and some cabling, re-aligns the dish (because my father's roofers screwed it up), checks a receiver, says it's OK now, then leaves. Well, a couple hours later the same message pops up, and tests this time show the red "X" only in the 119 slots--all of them. It would seem to me that the tech did not correctly fix the dish re-alignment issue. Am I assuming correctly? We know this isn't a receiver issue, because all of the HD DVRs on his account are doing the same thing.
