This annoying, strange problem has plagued my HR44, HR24s, and HR22s on my account (there are a total of 6 such receivers in the house). I have reset all the receivers more than once, but the guide data just won't come back. Oh, there is a tiny handful of channels that have guide data, but some 95% of them have either "TBA" or "Program information not available" showing in the guide. This is happening on my 500s, the 200s, the 300s, and even my locals. I can watch any channel without a problem, I get uninterrupted picture--everything is fine, it seems. I just can't for the life of me get ANY of the boxes to show guide data.

Any suggestions before I call DirecTV?

Long time ago I read that if you leave each receiver on an SD channel the Guide data will come from the 101 sat.

Have you checked your signals on the 101, 99ca and 103ca ?

Do you have a 3 LNB Dish or a 5 LNB dish?

If it's 3, make sure the satellite settings say 3 LNB and not 5

If it's 5, post a screenshot of your 119 readings.

I'm pretty sure it's the Slimline 3-LNB dish, installed in late June 2016. It was the one the tech recommended and installed based on my having several HD DVRs.

The slimline 3 has just 1 plastic eye on the end of the arm and the slimline 5 has 3. Take a look at it.

Make a picture of the LNBF - we will define what you have.

Here ya go, Guys. I do remember one thing about this dish. I had one of those new SWM13 LNBs that I purchased separately, giving it to the technician when this dish was installed in June 2016. If you recall, the SWM13s were unofficially supporting up to 20 tuners, IIRC. Anyway, with my Genie and some HR24s & HR22s, the total number of tuners I presently have in use is 18. I seriously doubt that would be an issue, because like I said, everything is working fine, PQ and all, except for the lack of program data being updated. That seems to be the only issue. 20180830_173955.jpg 20180830_174016.jpg 20180830_174030.jpg

Without the info you planted on us with the pics I would have said this is a Slimline 3.
I do not know which selection you use in Sat setup. I don't know if this LNB has a line item in setup.
However, this has been working for a long time and I don't know how that could have changed on it's own unless you just got new software on all receivers and they changed it.

The only new software I got recently was the new GUI on the Genie. When this dish was installed with the new SWM13, it was done so via auto-detect, meaning I can't even change the type of dish in the setup. It says auto-detect and shows a Slimline 3-LNB. As you stated, it has, indeed, been working fine for 26 months. Within the last week to ten days, however, the guide info stopped populating and won't repopulate, even after a hard or soft reset.

Try this when no one is using a TV.
Unplug the Power Inserter for a couple of minutes and then plug it back in.

Did that a few minutes ago. BTW, this was done a couple weeks ago, so to speak, when we had several power outages over the span of 3 days. Consequently, the PI and everything else lost their power.

Check one of the receivers to see how much / time wise / data that is filled in.
In a few hours check that one again to see if it is adding to it.

Hmmm...just checked the three receivers upstairs. There is much more guide info in them than earlier. Very strange.

    Yeah !
Probably it was fixed already and it was coincidence that it appears different now after the cold boot of the LNB. I really do not know. Some of this stuff works in mysterious ways.

Just for the heck of it, check one of the receivers that is updating and see if it still shows the SL3 and then page down on that screen and see what the SWM CH Count is.

OK, just checked all receivers. ONLY the HR44 (Genie) is not updating. That one, the most utilized one, shows a LOT of channels as "to be announced." For example, channels 355, 360, 362 and most of the 500s are "to be announced," as are many of the 600s and almost all of the MLB Extra Inning 700s.

I miscounted the tuners in my earlier post. I mistakenly counted the HR44 as 2 tuners, but it obviously has 5. The SWM count shows 22, which is the maximum I've had for almost 2 years, yet this problem first occurred about 7 to 10 days ago.

Have you ran the "CLEARMYBOX" search on that receiver to see if it will clean out some possible bad data and start over ?

I can try it. About how long does it take to reset when doing that? I ask because I think there's a 10PM CDT program to record.
